Rick isn't what every one thinks that he is. They don't give Tubby Smith any thing that he did the first season after rick left and i think that they should.

Rick has one problem coaching today's elite athletes. He runs his team like a Hitler. He assumes all of the glory himself. If the team achieves success, he was the reason for it. One thing I liked about Rick is, his teams are always entertaining. He does not lose by a lot of points to any team. When the game is over the players have left everything they have on the floor. He may not win every game, but he will not embarrass the University, like Tubby does.

Tubby does not embarrass UK. Let's not forget the whooping Memphis handed the cards last season at Freedom Hall.

Tubby mnay not embarrass the university, because he is too busy looking for another to put in the game. He has a lot of players on the bench that never play. Why doesn't he teach some of them to play basketball. When he has three seven foot players on the bench he has denied another player the opportunity to play and contribute. Typical of Tubby's ability to evaluate high school recruit's abilities. Lofton is too slow afoot. That is a joke. Does he load up on seven footers just to impress the crowd, and to intimidate the other team. Even though he has three seven footers on the roster, he often goes with a lineup that resembles a week high school team. I'm sorry. but I am embarrassed and ashamed of Tuibby and his coaching ways. He needs to slip out of town, and send a telegram or e-mail to university officials that he is going t5o be fishing in Alaska for the next five years and won't be back. And while we are talking departure, why not include Barnhart.

I to am embarrased with Tubby, not the players. I believe a different coach and we would be winning, By same token take a our #1 recruiting class and put them on another top team and I think you would find an awesome team. When announcers/commentors start staying how bad our team is, time for a change. I don't believe the lost telegram.

no one knew who would replace pitino, either... but then, we really weren't looking for a replacement when he ended his UK career in the national championship.

You "Tubby Bahsers" are a JOKE! This man has done what hundreds of coaches would give an arm to do....look at the NATIONAL awards he has won! He's one of top coaches of the game today. Give him a break...he can't get on the floor and play for the team!

The state of KY has 2 of the Top 10 Coaches in the country. Kentucky needs to get over Coach Rick Coaching U of L and move on. Remember what Rick did for KY and be thankful for it. Both louisville and Ky are having a down year every team has them, NC did in 2004 and look what they did in 2005. 1985 U of L went to the NIT look what they did in 86. I would liek to thank Coach Pitino and Coach Smith for what both has do for U of L and UK.

Seriously, the Tubby bashing is almost hilarious... especially from guys that talk about a "week" high school team. Before you evaluate a basketball coach, you might want to learn to spell 6th grade words. Tubby Smith has WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP for Kentucky, had a #1 ranked team two years ago, and has a Sophomore-led team hot going into the NCAA tournament. Maybe you have "week" eyes.

Josh you should learn the difference between the words "week" and "Weak" before you criticize people who write comments about Tubby. You may know how to spell the six grade words, but you sure don't know how to use them. Down with Tubby.

Tubby was handed the national championship with a team groomed by Pitino! Now, I am not saying Tubby is a terrible coach but I am saying until he wins with a team of his own, he still hasn't proved himself. He has come close though! He just needs to be tougher on these guys. They are not playing like a team UK Fans expect and deserve.

The only reason Tubby Smith did so good that first season is because Rick Pitino had groomed them the years before. Don't get me wrong I like Tubby Smith, but he is NOT the coach for Kentucky. Kentucky use to be a dynasty in basketball, now look at them. And it's not because of lack of talent. They have the talent.

I would like for one lousy Tubby backer to tell me that, after today's game, that He is a great coach. He sucks, and so do every %*@#)Tubby supporter. I was so embarrassed today to see Florida dominate on the boards. A couple times Stockton was caught trying to guard a big guy inside. I'm sorry, but if Tubby is the coach next year then we are in trouble for years to come. We can't even beat a team playing freshmen and sophmore players. We had a team on the floor today that couldn't have beat Oak Hill Academy. What are waiting for???a miracle from heaven, because it surely isn't coming from Tubby.

Embarrassment is not the word to de3scribe how I felt today with Florida playing three near seven footers, and UK playing four guards. How in the world could Tubby ever entertain the idea that UK could play with that line-up and expect to win. Florida shot over 50% because guys with a seven inch height advantage took guys like Stockton, Sparks, and the other guards under the basket for easy shots. I kept wondering when Tubby was going to change the lineup so they wouldn't get killed on the boards. Here we are with three seven footers and Randolph (6' 10") and we are playing six footers and less.

You're right Jesse. Tubby should have seen what was happening, and changed the lineup. Does he communicate with his assistants, or did they try to tell him what was happening. You only have 40 minutes of playing time, and to stay with a lineup that weak should be alarming. Is Barnhart watching, or does he have no backbone to discuss strategy with his coach? We have 11 loses this year, and still haven't won 20 games.

I don't know about the rest of you loyal supporters, but I am going to send a telegram to Barnhart telling him just how much I hate the job he is allowing Tubby to do. I know he never should have been hired in the first place. He has no ties to UK, and does not bleed Blue. I am hurting over this season, and do not forsee any improvement with next years recruiting class.

Yeah Rick Pitino is a great coach and I'll tell you why. He is the only coach and let me say that again the ONLY COACH to take 3 teams to the final four. It's plain and simple people say well why didn't he take Louisville to the final four in the first year as head coach? Well simple I said hes a great coach not a magician!!!
