hey true blue
you hit the nail right on the head. it so much fun watching tubby continuely rebuild our wildcats. that is what sets us apart from duke. duke just keeps reloading not rebuilding. that is why year in and year out duke contends for that number one seed yet kentucky settles for a lower seed. roll on tubby ! keep up the great work tubby. at this rate , with all this great gritty rebuilding , north carolina will soon be crowned the winningest program of all time. because north carolina keeps reloading too! every year we hear of star recruits who have kentucky on their list , then they end up picking another school. how many times does this need to happen before you and other tubby lovers get it ! star recruits do not want to play for tubby , they want to play for a winner. a school like duke . because duke contends. rebuilding is not in their recruits vocabulary !

hey diddy
at first i thought people like true blue just do not understand the difference between rebuilding and reloading. then i thought maybe they do not get that kentucky is an elite because kentucky is the winningest program of all time. now i think these people really are dumb asses if they think tubby can handle the job at kentucky. kentucky is one of five schools that can honestly say they are elite. if tubby coached at any of the other five , he would have been gone after he lossed control the first time. yet here at kentucky , he has lost control of his players three times. tubby is not a top five coach , he has a top twenty coach. so guess what tubby lovers , that means that he settles for twenty wins and double digit loses ; not playing for a one seed and winning championships. top five coaches play for that one or two seed and the words bubble team come big dance time are not in their vocabulary.

You blame the sub-par seasons on the players and recruits. I believe part of Tubby's job is recruiting the players.

Hey Stefan I think your dead wrong about Tubby. Is he perfect? No, but he is on the right path to building a good UK b-ball team. The last couple of years I chalk up the sub-par seasons to the players and recruits. Ex: Rakalin Simms no doubt has some major skills but did not step up a play with Grit. UK basketball is about gritiness, toughness, and the History of the program. Let this be a shout out to all in-coming recruits. Play tough, play gritty, and Lexington and fans will embrace you as family. There is no room for "soft" players. ROLL ON TUBBY!!!!

Anyone who is not blinded by their loyalty to the UK program can see that both Football and Basketball are going in the wrong direction, DOWN. Until both Brooks and Smith are replaced we can expect more of the same from Football and a continuous erosion of the basketball program.UK
UK Fan, now repeat yourself, please. Like an undefeated UK team led by Coach BROOKS couldn't be better. Tubby's gone so now who are you gonna rag on? Louisville, where I lived for over a year (until I couldn't stomach it any longer) took the money monger off our hands and definitely didn't hurt our chances with Billy G as the basketball coach. So what do you want? UK is on the way up in both sports without having to go broke to do it. And of course, the UL football team was going so win the national championship in football. What does that mean for us at UK? Just a few observations from the sideline. By the way, UK is one play at Tenn. away from being 9-0 counting last year's last 6 games and this year's beginning. Not bad for a terrible coach, is it?

beating louisville is one thing , beating the powerhouse teams in the sec is a totally different issue. that was a close game against louisville and could have gone either way. i dont think the florida's and lsu's are going to be as close. yes the football team is better , but they are by far no where near being able to say they can win the SEC. the basketball program is however moving back towards the powerhouse they have always been. go big blue

YES YOU MAY HAVE SOME VALID POINTS,BUT EACH JOURNEY BEGINS WITH THE FIRST STEP,AND YESTERDAY MAY HAVE BEEN THAT FIRST STEP,AND I MITE ADD U.K JUST DID'NT BEAT LOU.YESTERDAY THEY BEAT A VERY GOOD NUMBER 9 RANKED TEAM IN THE NATION,SO GIVE COACH BROOKS AND HIS COACHING STAFF AND THE U.K.TEAM SOME CREDIT.AND AS FAR AS BASKETBALL GOES,BILLY G.HAS DONE A GREAT JOB RECRUITING.BUT WITHOUT A GOOD BIG MAN IN THE MIDDLE WHICH WE DON'T HAVE THIS YEAR,I DON'T EXPECT US TO GO THAT FAR IN THE N.C.A.A.TOURNAMENT THIS YEAR,BUT I HOPE I'M WRONG.BUT BILLY G. IS BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE AND AFTER THIS YEAR I'D SAY U.K. WILL BE BACK TO THE OLD U.K. IN THE TOP TEN EVERY YEAR AND WINNING S.E.C.AND HOPEFULLY N.C.A.A.CHAMPIONSHIPS.GO WILDCATS.

a very good number 9 team ? in week two an unranked team almost beat them on their home field. that team scored a lot of points against what you call a very good number 9 team. a good team yes but not a very good team. louisville was overrrated and it shows big time. kentucky has a good team but remember the conference they play in , its called the SEC.
as far as a big man goes. billy g has a seven footer, lets give him a chance in the middle. kentucky basketball is going to surprise a lot teams this year.

WHICH PUTS US IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONFERENCE.THATS A LOT BETTER THAN BEING ON THE BOTTOM.THATS JUST MY THINKING,TIME WILL TELL.GO WILDCATS..

i agree , the football team is in the middle of the sec. they have to win some games against those teams also in the middle if they really want to be recognized as a good team.
what about that seven foot kid that sat out last year with injury? i can see billy g using his size as a weapon more so then tubby would have. even if the kid doesnt start i can see billy g using him. the cats are going to be fast this year. we are going to see some exciting basketball. i cant wait. go big blue !
