How is this news? We always lose. What would be news, maybe even front page, is if the Aggies were to win. Say 41-16.
You could post on the front page of the paper. "WOW!, The Aggies Won!"

kids? i think 18 is an adult? have boise state give NMSU 30 pts.to start the game this will help a little, the stands will be empty knowing whats going to happen.

Drop all sports at NMSU and concentrate on education only ,the Aggies have always been a second class team and always will be along with the El Paso Miners and the Albuquerque University..Basically theu s u c k ...

Next week,Boise St will come to Las Cruces and show the country what an embarassment of a "D1" college football program that NMSU is.Mr. McKinley, and anyone involved-with the future of the WAC in disarray in mind-PLEASE give SERIOUS consideration to 1)seeking membership in an FCS-level football conference suck as the Big Sky or the Missouri Valley,or 2)become a football FCS independent and seek to keep basketball in a D1 conference similar to what BYU worked out.Do something about this losing program NOW-or just drop it altogether if this university is SO stubbornly committed to losing-50 years of futility is LONG ENOUGH to wait for that "magical" coach and "magical" team.Start by building a solid tradition of winning at the FCS level, and the fan support will return.Maybe later on when the football program is well and strong enough-THEN it can re-enter the world of D1.Las Crucens WANT a WINNER-and that's why they will NOT spend their hard-earned money or time on a long time loser that your football program has become!!!

"...Try not to get murdered.." At least Coach Walker is honest.
Herm Edwards once said, "you play to win the game, hello"
If things get ugly pretty fast (and it will) I say pull the starters at halftime. UNM comes to town the following week and is our best chance at getting a win and we can't afford to lose people due to injuries.
I'm not saying to throw in the towel...just use some simple common sense.

I personally am looking forward to tailgating at the Aggie-Bronco game and the opportunity to watch the highest ranked football team to ever play in Las Cruces. This is one game that I don't want to miss. I enjoy tailgating and going to the game with friends and family, regardless of who wins. It would be nice for the Aggies to win, but I am not going to let the Aggies losing streak ruin my day. Enjoy life while you can. The Aggies are just playing like Aggies.

I think Coach Walker should make those players take a spinning class and get those lungs stronger. It was obvious watching the game that they lost their wind after the second quarter. The Aggies are not outclassed as far as talent, the other teams are just in better shape! Coach Walker is a great coach and so is his staff. NMSU fans wouldn't know what to do if the Aggies were 3-0 right now. You would get the same number of fans if the Aggies were 11-0 vs 0-11. To win in Las Cruces you have to have a great fan base and that is not going to happen.
Look at basketball, I took my kids up to see the Aggies last year at the Pan American center and the there couldn't have been but 6000 fans there. What a shame. The Aggies are winners, they have nothing to prove to any of you naysayers who probably spent more time with a tube sock in your lap then playing sports...

Only 6 days until the next a-r-s-e whopping by the
number 3 team in the country is delivered to the
I am going just to watch them get creamed - so much
for the LC S-c-u-m News trying to drum up support.
In fact the ads don't even say come out and support the
Aggies - NMSU has decided to hone in on the fact that
the Number 3 team in the country is coming to town.

These guys are terrible.

NMSU "might" have a chance with the lower level FCS teams but not with the likes of Montana's,
Sac St's and E. Washington's!

I have to differ with you on the all sports thing. What about the Basketball, Volleyball, baseball, and Soccer. Do you expect them to compete with the Dukes, North Carolines, and teams like that? The Aggies sure gave Michigan St. a run last year and they made it to the final 4.

You are correct, this team would be in the bottom third of the Big Sky. In fact, they would not fare well in the D-II Lone Star Conference. And as bad as I hate to say that, it's the truth. An Average D-II team that is trying to convince the public it is a D-I team.

GO AGGIES GO
Down the field and out the gate - GO AGGIES GO!
Way to go Coach Mumme (I mean Walker). Way to
exude confidence in your horrid team - or is
it just a slip in judgement like your DWI Arrest.
Saying things like were just going to try and
get out of there without getting murdered does
not say much about your coaching philosophy
nor your ability to set the stage for winning.
If NMSU does not win against UNM stand-by for
nonattendance numbers that will be staggering -
Sadly NMSU says they have a successful season
if they beat WHO TEP and the Low Blows - now if
that is not a mediocre mindset!
