IUPUI has foreign students just like every public university in the country. They do so because they want the diversity for their American students. Clearly the world seems "smaller" now than it did 10 years ago. Our American students will need to deal and understand cultures foreign from their own.<quoted text>
Thats fine. Revoke their state charter and let them become a private university, this way, they can invest in all the foreigners they want. But why use hoosier taxpayer dollars to bankroll programs that are being funded at the expense of our kids?
As for funding, any foreign (or even out-of-state) student more than pays for his/her share of college expense. If a state "supported" school wanted to really make things inexpensive for their in-state students, they would try to attract as many out-of-state students as possible.
