I nominate Mr. Knight for the job! Do I hear a second? I know it would never happen, but it would be awesome!

Ouch...Being turned down by a directional school coach. Could Ball State be headed for the Summit AC? or maybe DII?

I was a freshman at BSU during the Sweet Sixteen run in '90. During my four years there BSU was feared. We were practically unbeatable at home. There's no reason an Indiana university with 20K students and BSU's resources should be this bad. It's shameful.

I teach at University of Nevada, a smaller school that's on the verge of becoming the next Gonzaga. Makes me even sadder for the Cardinals.

Can't blame him. It would be a step back from IUPUI.

Ball State just got a real good glimpse of its reflection. Ron Hunter is a class guy who understands that the situation in Muncie is awful. In pevious years when Ball State was caught cheating (using coaches phone cards and such) they were winning. Cheaters who win are much easier to like than cheaters who lose. Way to go Cardinals, another proud moment we all soon will try and forget.

The bottom line is the only coach that could turn this program around and be a coach that this community would accept and respect would be either Bill Parcels or Bob Knight. Mr. Hunter I think you made a very good choice. There are alot of issues this school has got to, I mean got to iron out before bringing another coach, any coach here.

Smart choice my man, why is Ball State even considering hiring a Black coach after all the riff-raf they have been through. A bunch of racist students up there.

Shut up you idiot! Ray McCallum left in 2000 to coach Houston. Go find another forum to ruin.

2000? I think you meant 1990. Rick Majerus only coached at Ball State from 1987-89.

It is too bad. That athletic department is a mess. It will be hard to get a quality candidate to accept that position.
