Hmmm... And somehow BSU is supposed to be an upgrade to IUPUI? I guess they do have a bigger building... And... uh... there's probably something else that would make BSU preferable, but I'm missing it.
And I'm even a BSU Alum!
Probably a chance to recruit better players and go to a program with somewhat of a decent history in basketball....numbnut!!! Be proud of your BSU degree!!!!

It appears that contracts mean nothing to either Ron Hunter or Ball State. Poaching is what it is called I think.
What are you five years old.

I believe it is called a $70,000 a year raise. You are not a BSU Alum, you are way too stupid.

So tell me something. Would you stay somewhere just because you had a contract even if you had the opportunity to better yourself and your family elsewhere?

Contracts DO have outs in them, ya know.

Ron Hunter is the complete opposite of the joke of a coach BSU just had. He is the type of guy who will make me want to go back to BSU games. Heck, I have no ties to IUPUI and he made it look fun to be at their games.I really feel bad for IUPUI supporters loseing this guy.

No. I am considerably older than five. Additionally, I wish Ron Hunter well at Ball State. Nonetheless, for me, perhaps not for you, it is matter of giving one's word and keeping it. I am a professional. I've had contracts ranging in length from one year to five years over the last thirty seven years. I've honored everyone of them. Have I missed out on good opportunities because of that. Maybe. Nonetheless, keeping my word is important to me. Think about it.

Please see my response to Rick. I hope it makes you feel better to call someone an idiot.

Ball State at its worst is still a much better program than IUPUI is on on its best days.

Personally, I would have held out for LaToya Jackson, WeeMan, Erik Estrada, Jack Osbourne, or Trish Stratus.

Damn it CBS, I want to see the rest of that series!!

Seriously, I heard if Coach Hunter accepts the job, there is a stipulation in his contract that he has to post bail for Duane Clemons.

They have more appearances than that. And they went to the Sweet 16 in 1990, only to get beat by one of the greatest teams in NCAA history by 2 (UNLV 69- Ball U 67). UNLV only lost like 3 games in two years and won the championship game by 30 over Duke that year. They have a far more rich tradition playing in a prestigious Mid-Major Conference (MAC) over they scrub league of ex-DII schools like IUPUI. Only Valpo had tradition, and they joined Butler's conference.
