David Teague has a good outlook for a player, assume you need every game even if you don't.

Win and your in, Lose and you hope.

Boilers need 1 win to get in for sure, AND a and good showing against Ohio State. If they win against Iowa, and get blown out against State, I am afraid they are NIT-bound. Been watching a bunch of other conferences and there are many teams of the same approximate caliber of Purdue. One slip and I really believe PU is OUT.

I am a Boilers fan and graduate, but also realistic. The road record hurt and since there are no home games (normally) in the tourney, that weighs heavily.

As far as IU, I have alot of admiration and respect for Kelvin. He is a positive guy and doesn't try to run down other programs. He has finally added some class to their program. However, I am first and foremost a Boiler, so for you Hoosier fans, POTFH!!!!

Let's have Teague and Landry go out with a bang. There is no doubt we will see many NCAA berths in the coming years with Painter at the helm, but we need to do it this year for our seniors who, through tremendous leadership (and scoring), have gotten us this far and put Purdue basketball back on the map. Now let's finish strong for them. Beat Iowa, and give Ohio State a good game, and they can't deny us. BOILER UP!!!

If you're "Just a Colts fan", why should you care about college basketball? Then again you probably forgot to change screen names when you jumped on another bandwagon.

We at The Star will do all we can to keep Purdue out of the NCAA Tournament. We've sent our token Purdue beat writer, Michael Pointer, downtown to front the selection commitee and campaign against the Boilers. Be sure to check Saturday's edition for a report on Michael's progress.

As an IU fan, I want PU to win this game, that way, on a neutral court, IU can prove that they are the better team!

Either way, lets hope IU and PU play at least 2 more times this season.. both in the B10 and the NCAA tourneys!!!

Appreciate the previous comments, but I have a problem with this section. I respect Indiana basketball, but as far as Sampson having "class," I'm not so sure about that.

What a jackass. I am sure this is a fair weather IU fan making a wisecrack. If the Colts happen to go 7-9 sometime in the next 2-3 years will this moron be just a Colts fan

Witty. Very witty.

Although having Iowa fans on the Purdue thread talking trash is expected, we don't need any IU fans on here talking about the tourney. We have some games to play before we have do worry about that. You do, too. Run along...

Of course he's a fair weathered fan. It's easy to cheer for a team when they're winning. But to support a team no matter what reveals a fan's true character.

When IU loses to Illinois and Purdue beats Iowa, I wonder what the IU fans will have to say. I bet it will go something like this, "We still have Gordon", "Purdue still sucks", "we're still going to make the tournament" or some other crap. IU has had a good season and I like the hire of Sampson, but man up and give credit where credit is due IU fans. Both Purdue and IU have good recruiting classes coming in and both programs are on the way back to the top of the Big Ten. Let's all just watch and enjoy.

Watching the game right now against Iowa, and I can honestly say that Purdue is playing the best they have in years. They are dunking all over Iowa while limiting the hawkeyes to turn around 17 footers. Even as an Indiana fan I always enjoy seeing other state teams play great basketball, and the way Purdue is playing right now, they could make a serious run in the NCAA tourney with the right draw.

Just caught the game. Hard to feel bad about it. Largest margin of victory in the tourney so far.
