I grew up with Barry Stevens in Flint Michigan and just saw him this past Thanksgiving.
He was a good, well-mannered man. He was always smiling.

Coach Stevens was definately one of the most inspirational person I ever met. I was fortunate enough to have him as a coach at Eastern Illinois. My prayers are with his family as he will be greatly missed by everyone that he touched throughout his lifetime. 1 love Bstevens and thanks for getting me through the season. you will be missed

If you were fortunate enough to meet, know, associate with, even just be in his pressence... Barry Stevens has blessed you. Even in his death, just thinking about him and how sad this is, I can't help but smile. B.S. touched a lot of lives. I'm proud that he was my teammate and workout partner in the CBA and even more proud that was my friend.
