If LSU beats Alabama, there is a huge question mark that won't be settled until the end of the regular season as to who will play Florida in the SEC championship with LSU actually in the drivers seat for playing that game.

I'm a UC grad and would love to see them in the title game but if LSU beats Alabama and then wins the SEC championship game against Florida, I think they just might jump into the BCS championship game based on beating the #3 & #1 teams in the nation.

You state that the best chance for a Cinderella to make it to the BCS game is for LSU to beat Alabama, and then to have Bama beat Florida in the SEC championship game, but if LSU beats Alabama, they would most likely go to the SEC Championship game, and if they beat Florida, they would probably get a chance at the championship.

Why is there an assumption that Alabama would go to the SEC conference championship if they lose to LSU? If LSU won out wouldn't they have an identical record to the 'Tide and a win in the head-to-head matchup?
