The cheaters. But the ends do not justify the means, do they. I feel bad for the IU players and fans. They are Sampson's victims. He should be prosecuted for what he did, just like Haskens should have been. It doesn't matter who you root for, if they are not honest, they aren't worth watching.

The kids should be rooted for. People in glasses houses, pal. During Bill Musselman's reign, fans viscously physically attacked Ohio State players, especially a young man by the name of Luke Witte.

His successor whose name I can't remember was not only a loser but a cheater.

As you noted, Clem Haskins cheated making Sampson's actions like a misdemeanor considering his felony. If you remember had student tutors writing papers for your "student"-athletes.

You're living in a glass house, friend. Don't throw stones.

I never defended the past UM coaches who cheated. They deserved more than they got, just like Sampson does. As far as your trying to justify Sampson's action as being not so bad, I hope you don't really believe that, do you? He did IU a huge disservice that the school and athletes will have to deal with for years to come. Why would you defend him by saying his violations weren't so bad? They were, as were those of past UM coaches and any other school. It doesn't matter what school you cheer for, if their program violates rules, it is wrong and the students often pay the biggest price of all. I'l bet none of them got paid to be fired!
