Its easy to explain why Indiana isn't good at football so this article is misleading.

1. Its not a sport of great interest at IU. IU has been a bball school and it will be again in a few years. It also has a top soccer program which is currently playing in the 3rd round of the NCAA championships this weekend.

2. IU doesn't pour big money into football - compare IU's budget with OSU or Michigan.

3. I'm not sure I agree with Lynch's assessement of the recruits. IU is always at the bottom of Big Ten recruiting.

This doesn't mean I'm negative about the school, its a great place to attend college, a nice campus, nearby lakes and friendly kids. So far football hasn't been a big deal there-maybe someone will change that.
