Just want to say thanks to D.J. White. While you were a freshman you could have gone pro. You could have gone to UAB with coach Davis and Vaden. You stayed at IU that is priceless. Thanks for staying and proud of what you have done. All the other crap you guys are saying is crap cant find anything nice to say. I just have to say that you guys need a life.

Kelvin Sampson should have been kept by Indiana University until the end of this basketball season. The AD should also go.

I could not agree with your comments more. You are right on target. However, I say the time is over to feel sorry for these players. Coach Sampson did this to himself and his players. I hope he is happy. These players are playing for IU. I do not see how they just quit on their loyal fan base and DJ like they have. I still think Gordons problems stems from that injured wrist bothering his shot. It is obvious most of the players do not want to play for Dakich or IU. I would bench the biggest majority of them and play the subs. I have never seen such a lack of effort, standing around and not even realizing someone was cutting to the basket in the first half of the Minnesota game. I am startig to believe with the person who posted above that this is revenge for Sampsons dismissal. Dakich has no control over this team and that show no respect or desire to play for him. I realize they wanted McCallum but the decision was made. They could at least play for their school and fans. I had waited all season for the year to start and was has such high hopes for Sampson to destroy a dream. Believe me, IU fans have been punished enough already this season to have the remaining season post Sampson go down in smoke. Purdue has no reason to hang their head. They play hard, and give it 100 %.

As much as I respect Billy Donovan, why would anyone in their right mind take on all of the problems we will have at iU for years to come. It is entertaining to read all these blogs and see the differences of opinions. That will always happen when humans are involved. Blame Sampson for this, Greenspan for that, the NCAA, the players, etc... But what NO ONE is speaking about is, yes, we will get through this season. But what about even getting a reputable and respected coach in here that can recruit and live up to the standards of Indiana basketball who is willing to take over a program that is and is going to be in trouble. Who would even begin to want the job???? I guess that is my concern.
Check out scout.com . It sounds like IU's Admin finally has their crap together and is focusing on a quality group of coaches. This hasn't tarnished IU's basketball program in the long run at all. IU is going to have a few rough years, but it isn't near as bad as what has happened to many other colleges and they have done just fine. Sampson is the one that will be ruined. Not IU.

And we gave Sampson a quarter mill? He should pay to get away live. Once a thief always a thief.

Just an observation. It seems that almost every time that Purdue has been one of the top teams in the conference, this year and in the past, they say the league is down. Would this be because Purdue has a habit of crapping the bed in the big tournament, or is Purdue only capable of being at the top of the league when it is a down year.

I haven't noticed anyone bash DJ. Did I miss something? Anyone who follows the Hoosiers knows that DJ has busted his ass from the get go. This was his team and people like Ellis and Gordon don't realize and/or respect that.

The only whining I see these days is coming from IcheatU fans who have been whining and moaning and complaining ever since the lying, cheating, thieving coach they hired got bounced for doing what he does best: cheating and lying about it. Enjoy the cesspool that is, and will remain for years to come, Indiana basketball.

Sorry Bob, that 18, 19 and 20 years old excuse doesn't wash for me as long as there are 18, 19, and 20 year-olds in Iraq and Afghanistan nutting up and being men and women rather than being spoiled brats who are being given an opportunity most of us only dream of. They're not orphans, they're being given the equivalent of $100,000-plus of free education for going to class and playing basketball.

They don't want to play for Indiana University? Fine. Hit the next bus out of Bloomington.

For the NCAA tournament; I suggest finding the best 10 basketball players from the HPER courts & putting them on the team with DJ & Kyle Taber! At least the HPER players would play with more heart, hustle, desire, & enthusiasm than most of the current IU basketball players!*** IU's team 3 point shooting is becoming worse every game, & even the freethrow shooting is getting worse! Many of these IU players are the laziest & have the lowest basketball IQ of any IU players I have ever witnessed!*** I agree with many on here that Coach Dakich was placed in an almost impossible situation, but the bottom line is he is just NOT the answer as IU's head basketball coach.*** If Billy Donovan is interested,(IU) make him a generous offer; if he can win 2 NCAA championships in a row @ a football school, why could he NOT do as well if not better @ IU?? Again, Scott Drew of Baylor would also be an excellent choice; Indiana roots & he has that former cesspool of a basketball program @ Baylor in the NCAA tournament already!!*** Lastly, why is Rick Greenspan still the AD?? He should have been told "YOU'RE FIRED" for the MESS he has direct responsibility/accountability for creating to IU's basketball program! IU fans do NOT need him making any decisions involving IU athletics, as he has proven his imcompetence time & time again!

Yes we are probably one and done - best case we earn the right to get blown out by NC in the second round....of course, that still beats sitting at home TiVo'ing the games....

Same as always....largely irrelevant....every year the same thing 4-5 teams come in knowing they already have a bid locked, with the other teams fighting to extend their seasons, it just makes for some crappy basketball. I think the post-season tourneys are worthless unless you really make them mean something. Otherwise, get rid of them altogether.
