Does Purdue play any top notch programs before they play IU?
Playing poor competition will not make your team any better.
When does Purdue play North Central? Now that should be a good game!

I don't think Purdue plays any top notch teams until after they play IU.

What do you mean? They have already beaten Bethune-Cookman, Lipscomb, Loyola-Chicago, and Indiana State! I'm sure that resume would impress any NCAA selection committee!!!!!!!!!

Hey you I.U. fans need to leave us alone. Coach Painter is only patting our record so we can get into the NIT. Not everybody can recuit well and then coach them too. GO PEE YOU

Don't you have anything better to do? I'm sure your tooth can use some brushing. BTW, I consider Clemson, Louisville, and Missouri to be fairly top notch (as you so eloquently put it) competition so I don't see playing a fellow state school about an hour's drive away so bad. It was a good win for the Boilers--Grant and Calasan did a great job of picking up Kramer's slack.

Hoosier fans better not crow too soon. I admit that this year should be I.U. wins over Purdue, but next year will be something different. D. J. will be graduated and Gordon will be gone to the NBA and Painter's kids will be sophomores with a year's experience under their belt. What goes around usually comes around.

hey, why can't we get LONGWOOD on our schedule...what is that, porn star u? Chicago State? Western Carolina? Chattanooga? And IU plays only top 20 teams...right.
And don't forget, the Xavier Musketeers! They would help pad our schedule, too! LOL!

Chattanooga, Longwood, Illinois State, Tennesse State, Western Carolina, Coppin State, and Chicago State all want to know why they can't play Purdue too?

Funny thing is it's apparent that Southern Illinois isn't the Southern Illinois that they were in past years. Matt Painter's legacy is starting to wear off that is for sure. At 3-2 (who cares about early rankings) how do you know this is a good team?

Nice to know that the bitter IU fans have to spend more time jacking off their mouths about Purdue than celebrating a good win by their team. It sure tells me something about their mental status and feelings of inadequacy. They have to puff themselves up by putting someone else down, even when they win. Pretty darn sad.

Here again just goes to show what an education can do for you. Pu grads find the PU blog to talk and the redneck IU wannabe's with their third grade education want to be here to feel famous and bold. Why you ask, because they are thrown off the IU blog because they are so damn dumb.
Without that outlet they have to turn here. They are the same ones that get on AOL and read the weather story and post crap about politics and 100's of stuff unrelated to the story. Just like here.GO to your own blog pages for you beloved IU and stay the he--- off here morons.

I was at the game yesterday and also thought Calasan's play in the paint was awesome. He is that big body that Purdue needs to be competitive in the Big Ten.

I was able to attend the game yesterday. We were a little sluggish at first, took some quick shots and did not take care of the ball. Also did not stop the dribble by Marshall and the other guard. But all of a sudden Keaton Grant really stepped up followed by Calasan and Martin. Then the whole team got it going. I thought they really showed that they can boost it up a level when they have too. That's a characteristic of a very good team. The next step will be to see if we can turn it up a level against a Top 20 team, then a Top 10 10. But for now, this young team is showing it can play. GO BOILERS!!!!!!!!!!

Purdue is a fine young team. They will be hard to beat on their home court and they will surprise some people come tournament time. Painter can flat out coach and recruit. Most of his players are going to be around for the next 4 years. I'm looking at a couple of Big Ten Titles coming our way again.

And to you IU fans who are booing about our schedule...we lost to Clemsom (#18 AP poll) on their floor by only 3 points. We led most of the game. We play Louisville soon and you can bet we will be competitive. A win would not surprise me at all.
