The baby of the first girl. She is 4 months old, where is she. Who has custody of her. Hopefully not her dad, the boyfriend of the first girl. I think it is all too suspicious. I think the parents are guilty. No mom acts that calm. What about the mom saying they had had a stressful day, it was early in the morning if I remember right. I think the second girl was giving to much info out to the authorities and mom and dad were scared and so they had to do something to take care of that so they killed her too. Where is the boyfriend. He supposedly was a suspect at first and now nothing has ever been said if he was interviewed and is now not a suspect or what. The whole thing is bazaar and if people think that if they don't mention it or do anything about it then the whole case will be forgotten. It is not going to happen. We want answers. I live in Centerville and I have to know what happened. I have to protect my children from this murderer that is running around.

I believe that when the mother said.......they'd had stressful day, she was referring to Friday. I mean, it was still dark out and it is my understanding that they hadn't gone to bed til midnight. I can't quote the 911 tape, but even the dispatcher made a comment that made me think Mrs. Stanley's mention of a stressful day was referring to the previous day.

The Centerville police dept. needs to consult with the State Police at a minimum if they have not already. Small town police departments often lack the experience and or resources in dealing with homicides/suspicious deaths etc.

The boyfriend is in his early 20s and the baby is named Alexis. The boyfriend is listed as the baby's father on the birth certificate. Question 1: If Erin's sister was not at home at the time of Erin's death why would anyone feel a need to come back and take her life over the incident. Question 2: Is Child and Family services helping the child. I'll be praying for the Alexis.

Mr Astute, Small town people are not hilljacks. Your town is smaller than Indy so if someone from Indy called you a hilljack that wouldn't bother you, right. You are an "IDIOT"

I hope they get some really qualified individuals to help them with this case, since they said they are not used to investigating much crime, let alone a double homicide. It is sad enough about the first one, but to think the same thing possibly happened to the 2nd sister is even more horrible. She might have died with a broken heart missing her deceased sister and going through the trauma of losing someone she loved. I hope they catch whomever is responsible.....this sounds insane.

If you read the Centerville Police duty log,it states on Sept.1 the day of the first murder, the police were at the scene a total of 15 minutes.Only the Centerville police(town marshals)investigated. The State Police,Sgt Rick Shoemaker were called and told about the murder a week later. The crime scene was not preserved on Sept.1.The scene was not cordoned off, evidence was not collected Sept.1.I was a police officer from that area,The Sheriff's Dept was not called to the scene. The Centerville Town Marshall was in over his head, and the person that killed these girls got by with muurder due to imcopetence. That is why there is no info released, because the investigation was so botched, the State Police are trying to make some case out of this. The Keystone cops screwed up and now everything must be kept quiet to cover their butts.Sad very sad.
The Centerville police must be doing something right. 1st homicide in 47 years. Retired cop from Indy...bet you can't say that re: your old watch.

If you have not heard the 911 call , it is really creepy and to me explains everything. I'm speculating, but i'm pretty sure after hearing that i'm convinced the parents have to know something

I pray to our heavenly father above, that the Indiana State Police is not ever called upon on this case to investigate it, it will be swept under the rug for sure! just as if the Centerville police dept. may not be trainned to investigate a double homicide, I pray they call in the FBI, IBI, Attorney General, Internal Affairs, CIA or someone highly trainned in this field of expertise, otherwise this case will end up like many others, unexplained deaths, which will be ludicrist! Prayers for the baby, all others are suspects in my eyes. JMOP

I have some family up that way and one niece knew Erin pretty well and is telling us that everybody who knew them well at all knew that Lonny Stanley (the mother) was sleeping with Erin's boyfriend for some time.

I thought it was a nonsensical rumor but the line in the story about how Dale Stanley (Father) is out of town so often that somebody else cuts his grass struck me. That would seem to be a piece which fits that theory.

Has anybody else heard this one or is this purely rumor? I would think some pics of the boyfriend and the mother might put this to rest quickly human nature being what it is. I can find no pics of either - what kind of press do you have up there?
