Why not call Smith's episode what it is?
He isn't playing because of his felony conviction.
Don't downplay it by saying "a car accident".

Alex was a SPOILED BRAT in high school and look for him to cause disruption @ Illinois given time. He think's he's more important than ANY TEAM CONCEPT Time will play this out. Just think,What an opportunity he has just because he can carry a little round ball.WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!

I'll take the baggage. Illinois can't recruit big names and the team can't score right now. It's a risk that is worth the possible troubles.

Sounds like someone's a little jeeeaaaaalllooooous.

I'm picturing the guy in that Simpsons episode that got a job at the power plant and then killed himself (literally) over jealousy that Homer ambled through life as a dolt with success.

Well he actually does seem like a locker room cancer. I've heard he is a good kid but surrounded by people who tell him what he wants to hear. As a Michigan fan, I followed his recruitment for a while (since he was committed to us through most of the process) and he really does seem to cause problems. He is a good player but I would be weary.
