Post-Imus, the state of New Jersey is launching a promising new foundation that is being launched out of the New Jersey Department of State called the NJ Black Cultural and Heritage Initiative Foundation, Inc. The foundation was authorized by the New Jersey Legislature to create public/private partnerships to broaden, deepen and diversify public participation in black arts, history and culture. I find this move by the state to be wonderfully refreshing, as many of us just talk about the problems with race relations and community empowerment, but that an entire state would take on such an effort is very promising.
They are currently planning a public launch of the foundation on February 1, 2008. Co-chairs of its Board of Trustees are NJ Secretary of State, Nina Mitchell Wells and Stedman Graham (yes, Oprah’s Stedman).
The following is a link to the foundation’s authorizing legislation: http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2004/Bills/PL05/...

I welcome to hear and see Imus back

BTW - the democrats paid for Sharpton and Jackon to go nuts, they did not want Imus on the airwaves to talk bad about Hillary - remember he said he would never have her on!

MSNBC has been banned in my home since the demise of the Imus in the Morning show.

There is no other place on either radio or TV that brings the type of information need by the American Public but by his show. No one else has sparked my interest with their boring political bantering, as well as being the first news of the day. By the time I had finished watching the program each and every day, I, at least had a sense of knowing what was going on in the World.

I miss his show and would more than welcome his return.
