Wake up people! Do you really think that our elected officials are doing any good for this city? Our Mayor is a glory-seeking buffoon and the Sheriff is an idiot. Oust Bart and impeach Frank.

Try to hold people accountable for their own actions. Don't blame our mayor for some animal pulling the trigger. The mayor does not make these poor people kill eachother.

As much as I dislike Bart & his cronies, I fail to see where it is his fault when some low-life druggie shoots another low-life druggie. According to a previous article, when there were only 3 killings in 2 months in this area, all 3 victims had serious criminal records.

Until people learn that violence is not the answer to every little argument, shootings like this are just going to get worse. No matter which party controls the city, people's depravity will continue to get worse.

In the latest shooting, the police even heard the gunshots. With the cops that close, people are still getting shot, so how are increased patrols going to do anything about the problem?

Boo Yaw, my income taxes were just raised again to supposedly slow down crime. Bart got his tax increase through and crime is increasing. We are just not throwing enough money at this crime problem.

I can't believe that there are this many homicides going unsolved!!! Enough is enough, no matter what race or background of a person. The homicide detectives need to get off their asses and solve something. I don't see why they are getting paid. Everybody should be pissed about their taxes getting raised and still nothing is being done. You can't even go out and have a good time anymore.

What is the point...until the judges and prosecuters start giving maximum sentences (or better yet go into unchartered territory and set a few precedents and make them even tougher), everyone is just wasting their time.

Frank cannot control these people. He can only put alot of heat on that area but he can't control them. What they need to do is control the age that you are allowed to get a gun permit.

They are working on those cases. But, that can't make people talk. Sometimes it would help if the citizens in that area just try to give a little information but they are scared. Please, they do solve the cases but you must not keep up with things.

....And where does our 90 million dollar tax increase help these situations. If the Mayor is not at fault then give me my income tax money back and let the murder rate rise on! He said the crime rate was down this year and that is a lie! What will he do with the money other than pay off the debts that he has caused! Vote him back in and take what you get on a plate with a side of Monroe Gray's sweet peas!

Like these shooters HAVE gun permits!!!!!!! You need a permit to post here, regardless of your age, if you think permits would stop these druggies.

And if you remembewr Bart Peterson said that this 65% income tax raise was going to solve all this crime. Is it working?
