Howard is going to be a HUGE star in this league. He's already 2nd in rebounding and near 20 points per game at 21 years of age. THe rebounds and points can only increase. I see him easily getting 14 rebounds per game and 25 points per game - plus, and more importantly, being a dominant force on defence like shaq, olajwan, and the other great centers.

Mahmood....Appreciate that, assuming you ARE from Minneapolis. I just want to see Our Boys have a decent cast of co-stars so that Howard doesnt have to carry the team every nite. Football is great, but God, I cant wait for ROUNDBALL!

In the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, Charles F. Gardner writes “Charlie Bell still has hopes of playing in the NBA this season but he no longer wants to play for the Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-3 Bell and the Bucks have reached an impasse on negotiations for a multiyear contract, and with the start of training camp approaching in less than three weeks, the restricted free agent is ready to move on to a European club or another NBA team.”

Nothing to do with the article but how about this trade scenario: AK-47 for the expiring contracts of Pat Garrity and Keyon Dooling along with Hedo. The Jazz would save over 7 million dollars next year and would have a decent replacement for AK-47 in Hedo who would probably be a good fit with the Jazz. AK-47 can play a lot of minutes at the 4 spot and replace the shot blocking lost by the departure of Darko. Garrity never plays so he doesn't matter. Losing Dooling is a blow but they have Jameer and Arroyo to pick up the extra minutes. Imagine the Magic defensively: Howard, Foyle, Battie, AK-47 protecting the paint and AK-47 and Trevor Ariza stopping people on the perimeter. Lewis has the potential to be a good defender, he's athletic, quick, and long armed. He has always played for offensive minded coaches his entire career. Maybe Stan the Man can get him to at least try to defend people. I hope that Otis is considering AK-47. He has had 2 down years but only because he doesn't fit in with the Jazz. It would be quite a trio for the Magic.
