It is much too early to be making statements about mental toughness and what a great team this is.

For sure Van Gundy is a top tier coach in the NBA and his team reflects that preparation.

This is the NBA and many mediocre teams have over the years looked good to great at this time of the season.

The NBA season starts at game 58 and it a teams performance in those last 25 games that determine really how good they are.

The first 57 only put you in a position to achieve.

By game 40 we will know whether the skinny kid from Duke has the fortitude to play in this league.
If he has not progressed his roster position should be taken over by someone with the toughness to play in this league.

Columbiano my friend, you've been spending way too much time with Ricky Williams.
Webber is toast and a negative influence on a team.
Whatever his stats are, he is not a team guy.
Isn't he still trying to call a time out when his team has none?

It may be too early to talk about wins and losses, but I don't believe it's too early to talk about the change in this team's attitude and mental toughness. This is a direct result of having a coach like SVG. People can talk about 'Shard's contributions, Dwight's growth, but at the end of the day, our most important offseason acquisition was a coach who is leading this team and playing to their strengths from both a skill perspective and leadership perspective.

It's very refreshing. Their going to lose a lot more games, that's understood, but if they can stay in every game and show the mental fortitude to keep plugging away, this is a team everyone get rally around.

SURE IT TAKES TIME TO DEVELOP TOUGHNESS AND CHARACTER IN A TEAM, BUT WE HAVE THE PLAYERS AND THE COACH TO DEVELOP THAT POSITIVE ATTITUDE OF WINNING MORE THAN LOOSING UNDER ANY CIRCUNSTANCE. KEEP ON THE GOOD WORK MAGIC.

I agree for the most part but enough about redick he just doens't have the overall skill set to be a regular contributer on a good team. We wasted a draft pick on him but it is time to cut our losses and move on to guys who can play.

What a difference a coach makes. The re-hiring of Hill was a ridiculous mistake. I so don't miss the stand around offense.

Redick sucks, How are you always injured when you barely play. and when you do play your not that good of a basketball player, boggles my mind how poeple are still thinking he can produce in the NBA. Webber as I have been saying all year long, is not worth it, He also plays no D can barely run (though the Magic were all about the uptempo game) plus he cant grab rebounds, I just dont see the positives that he can bring to this young maturing team. Like someone already pointed out Webber can def. ruin the chemistry of this team. He is selfish, he thinks he is still the player from Michigan, which is when he made the stupidest mistake and I think most of us are aware of that blunder. Magic dont sign Webber, Never trade Ariza, Trade, Arroyo, and Redick, maybe Garrity as well

Historically the Magic have almost always had the unfortunate tendency to play to the level of their opponents. Thus they would win some big games against tough teams, but turn around and lose many more games to weaker teams. I know it's early in the season, but I'm happy to see the Magic win some of the games that (on paper) they're supposed to win. Mental toughness is the game, and SVG is THE MAN!

Keep it up Magic! Home court advantage in at least the first round of the playoffs!
