New Dolphins' Wynn, Lymon face tall order
Most of the 39 rookies who participated in last weekend's Dolphins minicamp were either fresh out of college or one year removed.

wow unselfishness from this kid. what a concept considering everyone is selfish and only after themselves and you aren't people think you aren't 'living life'

Another great human interest story. Great character from this young man...
and PLEASE PLEASE people, we DON'T need the .. "yah, yah, yah...if he were any good, he would have been drafted CRAP!!!" If Eugene Parker told this kid he could play....the kid's got skills....he just fell off the football radars...AND as for Lymon.... he's probably much more physically ready to play in the NFL, but ironically, I question his character judgements. He wasn't drafted because of two off-the-field incidents. Bottom line is this.....I don't give a RAT'S behind how we get them to sign for the Dolphins.....they're 6'2" and can run and catch...if they perform at a high level, and are great citizens off the field, ala Moss in N.E.....then OUR GAIN!!! We only had 8-9 picks in the draft. We'll address any gaps next year in April. |

Looks like the new Dolphins scouting department has really done their homework and found some good, young, quality players in unlikely places. I hope a few of these guys can stick around and succeed on the field for the Dolphins this season.

I coached Justin in a summer basketball league last year and he is an OUTSTANDING kid along with being unbelievably talented! He won our dunk contest with a ridiculous off the floor, off the backboard, catch it with his back to the basket, bring it down between his feet and then throw it down dunk. There might be a video of it at www.fortwaynesbest.org . I really hope he makes it. J-Wynn, if you read this, I'm pulling for you and I'm proud of you!
I don't know Lymon personally, but from the people in town I do know and trust, you can chalk those decisions up to being a young, talented kid who made some bonehead decisions and regrets it. He's a good kid and really has never been in big trouble, just occasional lack of judgement, and I understand he's pretty motivated to get things turned around. Eugene's a quality guy and he'll be great for him too. If anybody can get him to work hard and keep it on the straight and narrow it's Eugene. |

videos are from a couple of years ago. I'll see if we can't get that video put up there.

Sounds as if Miami has two gems in the rough. I will be interested to see them play. As long as they can run and catch, they will find a place on Miami's roster.
