This hurts! Now the NIT is even a long shot! I shudder to think what this team is going to look like next season without JT. Does anyone have any idea who might fill the void? Your thoughts please!:)

What a bunch of loosers the UCF athletic teams are. In any other enterprise except the socialized university system, the Athletic Director would be thrown out on his axx. But no, here they "tax" the students over $11.00 per credit hour to support the bloated athletic bureaucracy, that has NO accoutability for their lousy performance. The students and tax payers just have to stand back and watch as they give themselves promotions, raises, guarateed contracts, tenure, and hire their relatives. Its the most disgusting form of socialism in our society, and UCF plays it better than anyone else.

RC, shut up. You have NO idea what you're talking about.

I can't wait for JT to leave and get some real recognition. Another CON USA player of the week; he deserves more than that. ESPN doesn't even acknowledge him, WTF. I'm tired of this below the radar stuff. UCF is one of the biggest schools in the USA. Please, no more below the radar. JT makes it happen, what a worker. Give him his due. Put him front page of Orlando Sentinel. Everybody is tired of the same thing over and over. Give us UCF alumni some feel good stuff. You are the Orlando news and UCF is our school; and we love it.

Reality Check- do you even know what socialism is?

RC sounds like a "looser" to me. Despite the lowest tuition in the nation, the state is still giving out "socialist" Bright Future scholarships to dummies like RC. We need to raise the bar. Our unpaid athletes are the only ones required to attend classes despite exhausting games, road trips, and practice sessions. If you don't like your free tickets to any game you want, why not transfer elsewhere? You knew about the fees (which are about average for Division I universities) when you applied, yet you still came.

Year after year, I have to watch our basketball and football teams lose to run-of-the-mill teams. Why can't we recruit better players and build stronger programs? As a Florida resident it pains me to see so much attention to UF, FSU, Miami and now USF when it comes to athletics. What gives?

Houston is not a run-of-the-mill team. And UCF can't recruit much better than J Taylor:#5 in the nation in scoring and a potential 1st or 2nd round NBA draft pick. Plus we sign K Clanton and he is one of the top basketball players in FL and a top Guard from Louisiana that is ave 25 ppg. Oh, and we easily beat USF in our basketball game with them this year. So it's obvious to me that you have not been watching UCF basketball at all this year. UCF basketball is exceeding expections this year, especially having the 5th youngest team in Div 1 basketball (8 freshman, 3 sophmores, 2 juniors and 2 seniors) |

Face the facts kids. UCF is mediocre. It doesn't matter how "big" the school is. It doesn't matter that they are the "hometown" team. The facts are UCF is in crappy C-USA and they stink in all sports and lose to teams just as mediocre as they are. UCF isn't on the front page of the paper because most people don't give a flip about them, hence why ESPN doesn't give a flip about them. They aren't contenders. They mean nothing.
|

Yes, I have been watching UCF basketball. And I see their 16-10 record. While not terrible, it still doesn't garner the national attention we need to be taken seriously for new, top-tier recruits. Sure, we do get our standout players now and then like Taylor and K. Smith, but it obviously takes more than one guy to build a strong program. Hey, if you're satisfied with the way things are going for UCF Athletics, more power to you. I, on the other hand, want them to blossom into a national powerhouse. They way they're going, it won't be any time soon. |

And in your "expert" opinion, why won't that happen anytime soon? And define soon for us. Is it 1 year, 3 years, 5 years? And while you are at it, google Keith Clanton and let us know what you find. BTW...I never said I was "satisfied" with UCF athletics. The football team is a big disappointment, but Kirk and UCF basketball are going in the right direction. |

I'm curious, how many UCF basketball games have you attended this season? |

Boston Medical Group can perhaps fix that LITTLE problem of yours. |

Funny, I don't recall saying I was an expert. Sure, Keith Clanton is a good player and all, but he's still just a 3-star recruit. Listen, you can attack me all day long, and I'm sure you are fine with that. But the bottom line is that we are fans of the same damn team. We obviously disagree in the direction the program has taken. Maybe I expect more. |

How did I attack you? I just asked you some questions that you still have not answered. What are your expectations for the UCF basketball team? And how do they get to where you expect them to be when they are one of the lower funded basketball teams in CUSA. |
|||
|
Dude, I live in Sarasota. It's not often I can get up to Orlando to watch games. Besides, don't you think UCF's games should be televised a bit more? I sure think it would be nice. My expectations for the basketball and football teams are to at least step themselves up to compete with some of the big-named schools out there or at the very least to consistently rank at the top of CUSA. Am I crazy for that? Seriously, you come off as an angry troll on here. I AM A FAN OF UCF. I want to see us win. Cool the F down!

Dude...I'm not the one that is screaming on here...you are. I'm not an angry troll, I am however a former basketball player for UCF. And I know how college basketball works. But tell me how you propose to get us on TV more often and how to compete at a much higher level? I'm anxious to hear your plans and I will be happy to pass them on to the AD and Coach Kirk. |
