Just like that, it's over. A season that started with unprecedented attention for the Hofstra men's basketball team ended Saturday night at the hands of the program that indirectly was responsible for that ...

I'd like to see some quotes from the team: especially, why oh why did Johnson dribble instead of passing to one of the shooters? Agudio was open on the right side. And when he kept it, why did he go for a two-point shot instead of the three needed to win? This was a brain-freeze of major proportions. I hope he pays more attention in class than he did to the game.

This Hofstra team was the most unbalanced one I've ever seen.(I laugh at Coach Pecora calling his 22-8 season a success.) I blame Coach Pecora for wasting the senior year of the three great guards by failing to land even one, JUST ONE, decent big man after last season. How about a JC transfer? You mean not one JC tranfer wanted to play on a team with 3 excellent guards who had a chance at the NCAA?? And I don't want to hear about the 6-10 Washington kid who was inelligible. He was only a freshman and has much to learn. You can't win at the Division I level with Division II big men. Coach Pecora, please don't waste Agudio's senior year too. P.S. Playstation is not the answer.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add...looking at the final stats tell the whole story of the team, the season, the coaching, and the year. Only 3 players are trusted to do anything. Why? Because they're the only real Division I talent on the team. No one else shoots, no one else rebounds, and the coach doesn't want anyone else shooting or handling the ball at crunch time. But what tells the biggest story of the season was obvious from the first day of practice... the obvious inability of the coaching staff to put together a COHERENT, BALANCED TEAM of FIVE PLAYERS , not 3. Stokes, Agudio and Rivera had a great season. Coach Pecora did not.

you can't win when coach is playing three gurard all the minutes . They need big guys that can control the paint. THey need Playstation . they need a guard that will get everyone involve. His skills are being limited because coach believes that the seniors must get their points.
