Sasdly, if Pecora did not feet the need to throw throw the Northwestern game in an attempt shake them up by benching the very same players who play well in the clutch but not always in the first half they would be 10 and 0. Not 9-1. Newsday is right if they don't win it outright they will not get a bid to the dance. Losing to Northwestern will be a point used to justify keeping them out by the NCAA "stacked" good old boys who do not want any change. Just like in the Football BCS. We are in charge and we like it. TS on everyone else.

Anyone have any insight on our chances of getting in? Is an outright conference win necessary or will our overall record get us in?
Personally, I believe Mason's excellent performance last year was good for the conference and suggests that CAL is stronger than many believed. I would not be surprised if we get in with VCU.
Although a conference championship would be great, we may have a better shot if we go in with low expectations and then shake things up with a few big wins.
We'll know soon enough. We must beat Mason next week.

The NCAA is corrupt. They are run by insiders who do not want parity. Very few private schools have the $ to compete. Look at the top 25 or 4even 64 teams most are state schools. Politics rules the world. Hofstra will never get to the sweet 16 so enjoy and go home sorry that is the way it is. If theygo to far the NCAA would only investigate to punish an upstart Cinderella. Cinderella was a fairy tale. The CA is not hat strong. The NCAA sacks the deck when it takes 4-6 teams from the super conferences it is a self fulfilling prophecy supported by the drunken sports writers, the NBA and the NCAA who allows atheletes who can't read play the game College sports was supposed to be about recreation for students. Their graduation rate stinks. It is all about money give me Division 3 sports where students play not pros. Let the NBA create a farm system so that the students can have fun. If you worked for a company would you want to see ringers brought in for the company softball team? Go Hofstra, they will be in the NIT one and done again. I love them but that's their history.
