wow....his case was called first? these kids claim discriminiation and isolation by the campus cops but want to go to the head of the line when it suits them....didn't hear him squaking about that!

once again, connecticut puts the real taxpayer at the end of the line.....such steady habits

of course, there's discrimination. the seatbelt law is designed to give the police a just cause for stopping someone. see a black man in a car and pull him over. didn't find anything so issue him a seatbelt violation. the avon police are specialists. if the state really wants to protect us from ourselves, forget the seatbelts and have the cops block the entrances to mcdonalds.
Now he can concentrate

...and if happen to be wearing your seatbelt, they try to get you for "driving erratically" or going 5 MPH over the speed limit.

Hey Tom, quite often when represented by counsel, people do actually get called first. Life goes on, Tommy boy, life goes on ;)

IN all Ct courts if you have a private lawyer not a PD your case is called first. No preferential treatment here.

JERK:: It wasn't suspended because of the seat belt violation,, It was suspended because he didn't pay the Fine. Give the jerk your phone number next time he can call you to pay his fine..and maybe the "others" that don't pay for anything, like child support, taxes .. you name it...You pay for it..>>>

This is such a small matter. I believe we all should move on, and give Doug our support.

"Suspicious behavior" is pulling into a parking lot and not leaving your car???
His license was suspended for not paying the seatbelt violation ticket. It seems that aggressive patrolling and policing and laws regulating behavior have the favor of most of the people on this message board! Rush must be over! What a bunch of scolding jerks! More people should blow off these stupid laws and protest our corrupt police system and state government, but of course most of you are republicans and APPROVE of such methods!

anal baby: it all starts with a discretionary b.s. law. most of the "others" are working much harder than you to support themselves and their families. invest in a clue.

Evidently, the cops suspicion that criminality was afoot was correct. Were those young men not caught with contraband?
Please enlighten us on with your rendition on how to maintain social order.

Don't be mad and jealous that you are not a gifted athlete such as Doug Wiggins, but rather a low life loser.
