Gee, maybe the best thing that could have happened. This team seems to be playing better without both.(Sort of like the Giants losing Shockey & Ticki)

Question: How many vehicles have marijuana in the vicinity?

For the kids sake I hope the drug tests come back negative. If not, GOODBYE!

Yipes! Hard to believe the Huskies can continue to win with a depleted bench. Great determination from the Huskies over the past two games. Wiggins will probably be lost for the season due to his checkered past, Dyson may play on Saturday if the drug test is negative.

Great win tonight! UConn will need to work hard and smart to get through the balance of the season.

i agree with what pitino said before and after tonight's game.. not having those guys may be good in the short term, but rotating only 9 guys will cause this team a lot more fatigue than normal after 4 or 5 games of this. AJ Price played 39 minutes tonight.. an amazing 39 minutes sure, but can he keep that up the rest of the season if he needs to?

Now that the situation is getting more serious about Dyson and Wiggins. Ugly questions need to be raised about probable cause to search a car for parking in a parking lot. Were these kids acting badly, driving recklessly and making noises? Or were they suspicious because they were AfricanAmerican and it was late at night. If Dyson and Wiggins were white, would they have been bothered by the cops at all? I bet if the cops at Uconn randomly checked every other auto the pulls into a Uconn parking lot driven by students you would find a lot of pot and a lot of alcohol. I'm not saying these kids weren't doing anything wrong. But they weren't doing anything that isn't being done by the majority of the student body at one time or another. Were they on the watch for Wiggins to screw up? This story is really beginning to stink.

Ok, so now it’s a little more serious. Regardless if those drug tests come back positive or negative, Wiggins should be out for the rest of the year as the code of conduct stipulates for a third offense. The marijuana they found nearby obviously wasn't growing wild. It would presumably be Dyson's first offense, which doesn't seem to mandate a suspension, only follow-up testing, but I think Calhoun should make him sit for a few more games regardless. And when he comes back, I don't think he should get his starting position back this year.

I know there will be many calling for their expulsion even harder now, but that would still be an over reaction and frankly irresponsible of the University to abandon a couple of kids who made mistakes. I'm certainly not condoning marijuana use (although I could argue the hypocrisy of drug laws too), but these are still not serious crimes.

Kinda stupid of both players driving around at night with booze on board. Parking lots are known as places police go looking for aberrant activity. Aside from the stupidity involved on their part is the fact that both players were willing to risk a future full of promise for short term pleasure.

Who cares????? Marijuana is America's dirty little secret. Let's not be hypocrites here.

Get them back for the Pittsburgh game. They've served their punishment.

1. to whoever said marijuana doesn't grow wild: this is a large "party school" we are talking about. like peteN said, there is a good chance that if the cops pulled over any car it would have weed or alcohol in it. if it wasnt IN the car, or didnt have their fingerprints, or they didnt find something in the car to lead them to believe that they smoked marijuana, they should not be punished for that.(unless their drug tests come positive).
