Big East reprimands Calhoun

UConn men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun, who called an official "incompetent" following his team's victory over Northeastern Thursday, was reprimanded by the Big East Conference for those comments on Friday.

Come on guys; the officials have it in for Calhoun because of his
pathetic behavior over a twenty year span of big time coaching.
It is obvious to me that if his staff recruits high level talent, the
Huskies win a lot and even compete for the National Championship
however, watching this latest group last year and so far this year
the Coach will be doing plenty of screaming, cursing and gesturing
during the games. The talent is NOT there..I wish I knew what happened to the recruiting...and forget about Thabeet becoming
a big time player..if all it takes is to bring a very tall African over to
America and hand him a basketball and say "put it in the basket"
then every coach at every school would be over there with the
student visa in his hand...a player develops his skills over a course
of years in grade school and high school..then the AAU circuit..
Too bad the "NBA" front line couldn't beat George Mason..the
current team won't beat any decent Big East team..let the
technical fouls rain down on Jimmy boy..George Blaney might

If refs are handing out Ts for laughing, that's getting a little ridiculous. Refs cannot be thin-skinned and successful. It's bad for the game if they are going to be sensitive to every perceived slight. If they are handing out Ts for profanity then Jimmy boy is in deep trouble with this team. Hope he can straighten them out.
