How dumb. I have him a pass on the first round because the rule, although stated in the handbook, was stupid and misapplied. This time there is nothing I can say for him.

I have two opinions about Billy Humphrey's charges.
The knife charge makes a joke out of the law. I've carried a pocket knife since I was about five years old. The blade is three inches long and countless times this tool has come in handy. It makes my life easier. Mr. Humphrey's knife had a three in blade. Hardly a weapon intent on doing someone harm. It could be used as a weapon but that is unlikely. The alcohol charge is legit. Mr. Humphrey is under age and should not be drinking. Probably most UGA under age students drink but that does not make it right. Reporting this as his second charge paints Billy Humphrey in a light that may not reflect the type of person he is. The knife was not a weapon and most student probably drink. He probably is a good kid who has gotten in trouble twice. I wish him well. |

The one thing that 11 forget to put in this article was that his BAC was .03! I could get that by taking cold medicine!
Athen Clarke County Police are something else... you arrest Billy Hump for a BAC of ,03 when on the street next to him you have 18 year old girls falling down completely wasted...sounds a little funny doesn't it? |
