ok the fact that we know frederic weis' name (aka bum who got dunked on) is a disgrace. whoever decided to trade for him on the rockets should be fired instantly. what an idiot. get rid of marbury and the other suckers and we got a team.

As a long time fan of the Knicks, I think Patrick Ewing bares alot of the blame for the Knick current salery cap problems. And as such is partly responsible for the Knicks problems. His greed had no bounds. They should have let him leave as a free agent at the end of his career. Instead they give him a huge contract. When he was without talent. Then try to trade him by taking back, huge contacts from no talent stars.
And now we have to keep it going by trading for his no talent son.
Give me a break!!!!!!!!
Blame Ewing? Are you serious? How stupid are you. If you want to blame somone blame the management that traded him or gave him all that money.

If this is nothing more than a PR move, so be it. For a franchise that has seen very few positive moments lately, this was a good start. And who knows, the kid looks to have the athleticism to play at this level. If Walsh wants to make two more "PR" moves, he can trade Randolph for a Waffle maker for team breakfasts and drop Marbury and hire two more Knick City Dancers. I'm already feeling better about this season!

This is absolutely despicable.
Longtime Knick Fan is exactly right. It's one thing to have a little fun satirizing local sports personalities, but racist comments have no place in any medium. Either the moderator isn't doing their job, or Newsday would prefer to see some controversy, no matter how ugly. Either way, it makes these people as responsible as the idiots who post those ridiculous comments. And while I'm at it, Sarah P, your proctologist called, he just found your head...

the problem with newsday's policy is, once they remove the offensive post, it still remains in the thread as part of your reply to it. sad to say, the best response is no response. these sad losers depend on the anonymity of the internet for their courage. they're only trying to push your buttons. forget them!!!

But the point is valid.....there is painfully LITTLE diversity on the Knicks roster.

I think the Rockets just found the final piece to the new generation of Twin Towers. Move over Cartwright and Ewing. Step aside Sampson and Olajuwon. It's the Ming and Weis show in Houston!

Poor Patrick Jr.! Guy's just out of college and is now on his third NBA team. Weird. And even more bizarre is why the Rockets would give away a player for nothing. But in the end, what difference does any of this make since Patrick Jr. is a longshot to make any team.
patrick doesn't care about how many teams he goes to he is just happy to be in the nba its almost like the rockets did him a favor by trading him to the knicks because he was for sure not going to get in pt in houston with the guys we got and his in new york were his father is a legend hes for sure going to make the team. also the rockets traded him for fredrick weiss because they are trying to get money to sign back landry and bring back mutombe for another year or 2 the rockets know hes never coming to america so its basically just getting rid of a contract.
