Fresno never let Moniz get started - Hawaii Sports

Fresno State greeted the Leilehua alum in his first D-I start with a proverbial welcome mat, then picked up the mat and proceeded to smack Moniz and his fellow Warriors around with it last night during a 42-17 win for the visitors at Aloha Stadium. Read more

Moniz scored against the 4th string of fresno State. And the local yokel radio sportscasters praised him as if he were great. What a joke.

No worries about that game at least it brought in revenue to pay off our debts. Don't forget about what Georgia did to us. We don't claim to roll with the big boys but our division is another story. Fresno is our rival and it feels good to knock them out of the rankings last year and any chance they get to knock us down a few steps is good for the rivalry. It's all good. This year and probably the next 3 will be a wash for us cause Mac and his coaching staff are jokes. We could learn from Boise but our present coaches are unwilling to change and get off their high horses.

UH Athletics still paying off bills. Football is the biggest expense.

I'm with you - all you haters out there who weren't at the game can get a life and post somewhere else. I'd rather live in Hawaii with this team than in Fresno any day! UH is da game in town and we got to support it. If you ain't on the team then you don't know what's going on. Maybe the coaching was poor; maybe the players didn't execute the game plan; maybe Fresno was just better than UH this year. Maybe you don't know! Let the players play and the coaches coach. Worry about your own job and how well you do it before you go crapping on a bunch of college coaches and college kids.
Just want to remind everyone that some of us live outer Island and cannot go to the games. We are forced to watch it next day on T.V. It doesn't make us a hater or less of a true fan. Also if we disagree with the coaches not the players it is our right and our opinion. Alot of us will always be true UH fans since we were kids. Born and raised Hawaii. If anyone who wants me to come to a game I would love to. You gonna buy my airfare and tickets, hotel and car. Cause in this economy not all can come to watch live. And for someone to make a million plus a year we expect the coaches to coach the kids to compete no matter what the situation. No excuses about injuries, all collage teams have to go thru adversity and find a way to win." Just win Baby"

I'm trying to figure out what would a Canadian care about Hawaii football? And then it hit me did you come here on your dream vacation and not get the aloha you expected or did you blow your whole wad and now your bitter or did the locals rough you up because of your lousy attitude? Oh well Machy boy, can't win em all!

Funny how JJ left when Brennan did. But the Boise staff didn't leave when Zabransky did. Boise just got a better qb in Kellon Moore.

Boise!!!!!!!!!!
JJ left because he wanted certain changes made at U.H. which was'nt complied to. He was even willing to take a cut in salary and that money go to the changes in the football program but it was already too late. I don't blame him for going with the higher salary and a school that is willing to change. I agree go Boise, if they get a BCS it is good for the WAC and all teams involved in the WAC. That means money coming into the UH football program and into the rest of the WAC.
I don't despair this year because we still got a chance at a bowl game. And that's more money coming into the UH football program with a bowl game. It is a rebuilding year and if we don't get a bowl game this year I see one on the horizon even if it's our own bowl. Thanks for bringing that up! Warriors and Coach Mack you got my support!
