Fresno never let Moniz get started - Hawaii Sports

Fresno State greeted the Leilehua alum in his first D-I start with a proverbial welcome mat, then picked up the mat and proceeded to smack Moniz and his fellow Warriors around with it last night during a 42-17 win for the visitors at Aloha Stadium. Full Story

Sorry for your lost Rainbows, I don't like saying it but, "I told you so".
I feel sorry for the players who work so hard day in and day out.
You have been let down by your coaches and the "SHOOT AND SHOOT"
MAC DO EVERYONE A FAVOR AND GET OUT OF TOWN.
You have done nothing to improve the game plan and this your responsibility which you have failed in all aspects of the game.

I think they got the wrong COACH. Should have picked someone else. They did it in a panic when JJ left and the Bros. are only HS material. The QB coach that called the plays weren't that good. The UH have the talent, they just need the right coaches...

This guy gets a mil and should give it back. the worse thing is his players play hard. I watched the game last night and as a Na Koa member I was very disappointed. We let June get away and pay the jerk. If this keeps up even Ben Yee will stop showing up. The stadium was the emptiest I have seen in a long time. Come on Donavan, get rid of the guy and hire a quality coach. The foundation that was built is crumbling. Soon recruiting quality players will become non existant. Go warriors, Go out and get a real coach.

One guy can change our fortunes (realistically): Ken Niumatalolo. Ex-UH guy...from Laie...runs a 'gimmick offense'. Hate to say this but UH needs a 'gimmicky offense' to succeed. Whether its the triple option (Paul Johnson days) or the run-n-shoot (JJ style) its the only way we can attract quality recruits.

Bottom line, we LOST the best coach UH ever had and in a panic hired the WORST coach we could have. Going to be a long season.

Hahaha...was enjoyable watching UH get pounded last night. Love it when they lose.
This bad season will manifest itself into poor recruiting, as good players will go choose other colleges. Nobody good is going to want to play for this team and this coach. I expect Hawaii football to take a dive for at least the next 3-5 years.

Time to move down to Div II football cuz Hawaii doesn't belong in Div I!

When was the last time we got blue chip recruits?! Greg Alexander wasnt recruited out of HS or Junior College. Ditto for our leading receivers Salas and Bradley!

It`s time for us to get a new (real) coach. This guy is not worth one million dollars. Things are only going to get worst on the football field. This team lacks discipline, and fundamentals. Lets bring in a real coach that will bring our University back to respectability.

This story is a "homer" story. Fresno State stopepd playing aggressively and put in the 4th string in the 4th quarter. Moniz looked hopeless. UH's weak schedule is really hurting their chances to get in a legitimate bowl game.

Inexperienced new president and administators way overpaid MACK and yes, they were in panic.. Very sad. UH is done for the next decade.

UH will try to keep padding its already weak schedule with easy to beat teams. It fools the fans all the time.

You're welcome for the pity 14 points in the 4th quarter. And thank you for giving our backups playing time.

Fresno allowed UH to score against its 4th string in the 4th quater. Pat Hill did not want to humiliate the hopeless locals.

Oh and to the Hawai'i fans who are complaining that your coach sucks compared to June Jones. Get a life, did you ever stop to think that Junes left because he KNEW that his talent well had run dry. He had no freaks of nature like Brennan coming down the pipeline and knew he would be called a fraud by you traitors if he stuck around for these tough rebuilding seasons. And stop blaming your QB, lets go back and look at the DVR to see how many of his receivers dropped perfectly good passes. Odds are if they would have caught the passes and got within a touchdown, FS probably would have lost. That's how we roll!
