So what does everyone think about the current Favre situation?

Were will he be playing next year?

Did the Viking follow in the underhanded Niners shadow and cheat by tampering to get him?

Should Favre even try and play next year?

Did Favre even have a Packers issued Cell, which would be a violation by the Packers if that was true?

If he plays for the Vikings or the Packers does their SB chance increase?

Not to mention 4806 yards for the 3rd highest season ever. Only 24 yards off the number 2 spot held by Warner.

But the numbers mean nothing without super bowls. and only 2 quarterbacks ever have more rings then him as well, Bradshaw and Montana, Both in the Hall of fame.

Last year Brady had probably the single greatest statistic season ever. But to him im sure it was a failure..... He would much rather have the kind of year were he gets a ring im sure, not sputter out at the end after such an amazing year.

But I do agree, he is NOT over rated. maybe by some as some people will state that one group of people (ie pats fans) are enough people to make him overrated. I don't look at what the teams fans think, I look at what the comunity as a whole thinks. And that would make him NOT overrated. I could also make the argument that he is underrated as well using this one teams fans outlook. Many Colts fans think he is horrible(Not all of you, I am not saying Colts fans completly. Some of you know the game and don't base it on who he plays for) Those fans would in essence make him underrated.

Hi, guys...good to see all of you here. This link is from yesterday's Minneapolis "STAR TRIBUNE" about Favre. What do you think?

From what I read, it appears Favre wants to play with the Vikings. And it also appears the Vikings want him for the the opportunity to reach and WIN their long lost oddysey....The Super Bowl.

And they have used the same measures as the Patriots to do so. CHEAT....for the Super Bowl trophy. If you can't win one fair and square just do it the old fashioned Patriotic way....By way of New England.

A little ingenuity....a little larceny....A little of this and a little of that and you have the winning formula. It apears the Vikings have learned their lessons well!:-)

It appears that Favre is the one initiating all this contact. It also appears the Vikings are not the least bit worried about sanctions for tampering. I can't tell what's really going on.

I think GB should do the honorable thing for a HOF QB who served you for almost 20 years and just release him. If GB really believes that it's Aaron Rodgers' time, and that he can handle the job, then they shouldn't have a problem with Favre playing in Minnesota. Even if he goes to the division rival, it will only be for 1-2 seasons.

its so sad to still see losers like you who claim they have knowledge of the game still claiming the pats cheated to all those rings. even with the fact that the guy who claimed he had a tape that would prove it got embarrassed when he was told to produce it and couldnt, BECAUSE IT NEVER EXISTED. you people are so pathetic. get over it because the rest of the world has.

You mean the Vikings may NOT have cheated like the Patriots?:-)

Who knows how this Green Bay mess will turn out but I for one would like to see this reach a conclusion once and for all.

Favre's reputation has taken a hit even from some of his old Green Bay faithful while The rep of Ted Thompson has taken the same hit. The fact the commissioner got involved in this makes it a little more strange.....

How can you say that to a fellow Pats fan?

We all know the truth here. The fact I say something the rest of us don't want to shouldn't anger the rest of you....

Go Pats....:-)

Go and look again. the Pats cheated yes, they got caught. But the format the Vikings are using is that of the low down cheating Niners. They are the ones who have recently lost a draft pick for being proven of cheating in this fashion of tampering. Also it was more recent, as in march of this year they lost that pick for their cheating ways. What the pats did is completly different and you know it. Yet you try to turn it to the pats still. LMAO

Exactly. The Pats cheating led to their Super Bowls! A legacy that should have been respected by all Pat and NFL fans has now been forever tarnished.

And who's fault is this? Have to put it on our coach! He is responsible for all this.

I saw on ESPN today that infact if favre had a phone issued to him by the packers then that would be a rules violation by the pack. And they said that out of Favre camp they are claiming it wasn't a Packer phone. If it wasn't a phone of theirs then they would NOT know who/when Favre called anyone.

I agree they are both taking a hit, but I think the team in general is taking a bigger hit. I like the Pack and would hate....HATE to see Favre play anywere else, but I agree with TMD. If you don't want him or think Rodgers is better for the team, let him sigh elsewere. If he wasnt to play let him, he earned the right to say I am not done. It would be different if he had sat out a year, but he didn't. All he did was miss a little training camp. I know that people shouldn't get special favors due to their star power, and I don't think he wants that. I think he just wants to play. So instead your gonna taint the relationship between the pack and favre. Is their a bigger relationship in football the past 10 years? I can think of maybe a few that rival it, none that surpass it IMO. Elway and Denver, Marino and Miami. I don't think their is a more storied relationship then those unless you go back to Montana and the niners, and that one got tainted.

I agree with you, but unfortunatly some people see they got caught and immediatly it becomes every single game they play. Everyone wants to think that they cheated to beat their team and that is the only way they could do it. People want to find some reason to think that in thier teams failure to beat the pats that they were actually a better team. I don't think their was this much fuss over the Niners cheating in the playoffs years ago by cutting the headsets off because the opposing teams didn't script thier plays like the walsh led team.

your right with that exactly. Exactly the Niners cheated in this fashion NOT the pats. If you look up history the Pats have a few year of corrupt tactics. But the niners are slimeballs for generations. I guess you can say they are a true dynasty of cheating, stealing, and lies.

O yea, I forgot to tell you. I had a long talk the other day with Joe Montana and Steve Young. It really opened my eyes and I am now a niners fan so they said it was alright if I exposed them as the most corrupt franchise in the NFL history. They said that the Bengals players were starting to make them uneasy thinking they could overtake the Niners title. But then they realized that the players aren't the organization and nobody can catch what their management and ownership did.

Go Niners.. were gonna make a push for the playoffs this year.

Many people are forgetting something about Elway. When he was drafted....it WASN'T by the Broncos! It was by the Baltimore Colts. But John became a crybaby at that point and refused to play for them by threatening to bypass the sport and maybe play for the Yankees.

His whining and crybaby ways worked for him and he was shipped to the Broncos. A few years later as the January 1990 Super Bowl approached between the 49ers and Broncos....Terry Bradshaw was asked about the matchup and he immediately praised Montana as probably being the greatest quarterback ever....then turned to Elway saying he hadn't forgotten what a big crybaby Elway was at the start of his career.

Elway held this grudge against Bradshaw for years.:-)

P.S. it is Favre and Thompson that are tainting their own relationship.
