The man is a quitter. The magic are better off without him. Maybe the WNBA will take him eventually because he acts like a woman

I wonder if Donovan and Foley would as forgiving as the Magic if one of his stud recruits signed their LOI and then decided it was a "mistake" and they wanted to go to another school? I highly doubt it. Liars and hypocrites.

Gotta give Billy D cred for the courage to go with his gut. Most guys don't even know how to listen to theirs. It's usually defined by $ signs.

Billy Donovan needs to grow a pair. He's a grown man and he should stick to his decisions. I'm happy that this bozzo is not gonna coach my Magic!

Recruits DO and have changed their minds about going to UF and life goes on; Donovan made a bad decision on the moment (perhaps spurred on by someone saying time is of the essence. He is a Gator and where he belongs. I for one am glad he is back.

Apology accepted. Actually, no apology needed. Anyone who gives up riches and fame to confirm that he's a Gator for life is all good in my book. Welcome back Billy! Only in the depths of your soul will you find the truth, and the truth is you bleed Orange an Blue!

You're comparing apples and oranges. If a kid really changed his mind, he could leave but would probably have to sit out one year and not sign with any other SEC or Florida teams...not five years like Donovan.

It takes even a bigger man to take responsibility for his mistakes and have the courage to make amends. By the way, it's Bozo, not Bozzo....Bozo.

If a player wants out it is one year out of the game but he can go anywhere, and Lucas is seriously considering going to Kentucky where Peterson signed.

I'm disappointed the Magic had to give something up to get Stan. That's on Billy. He should've paid to get out of the deal.

Bii D is in what is defined as "the comfort zone". He does not "need" more money, his wife and family is happy in gatorland. what reasons will he has to start all over again?
my conclusion: Comfort took over greed, more money is no happines.

"Things are steady now. He says he's sorry they weren't for a while. And he hopes Florida basketball, and its fans, will accept his apology."

I do not see how Florida or its fans are owed anything. They got the coach they wanted.

He should ask that the Magic organization and its fans accept his apology. They are the only ones who were truly wronged in this whole mess.

On one hand, I agree with the comments about Donovan taking responsibility for correcting his mistake. Painful as it was, he needed to do that.

Still, his actions shafted the Magic. There is no getting around that fact. Any apologies should be directed to Orlando, not Gainesville.

The man has integrity. We have all made decisions in life that we wish we hadn't. He has had the insight and good fortune to be able to correct an error. He has taken responsibility for his actions and that is all anyone can ask of him. He has certainly proved that he is an excellent coach and Gator Nation is lucky to have him.

Who cares if its bozo or bozzo. This guy needs to grow up. You gaytor fans are happy because you have your drama queen coach back. We Magic fans are happy we have a real NBA coach. BTW I could care less for college basketball.
