Then check out the one where Doug Johnson throws the football at Bowden's head before the game. Can't refute that one.
Doug threw the ball into a crowd of Bowden's thugs. He didn't know Bowden was standing among them and apologized for it. That sign of humility is more than Bowden would ever show.

some still trying to make this a FSU/UF thing I see. This has nothing at all to do with UF and everything to do with FSU. No amount of smokescreens are going to hide that fact.

I still think everyone is overthinking this one. The suspensions should already be covered. Now we just need to see how many scholarships they lose. Too much hate on here. I'm just ready for some football.

... this is not about one "rogue tutor" or one online class. This was a pattern of cheating whereby athletes were specifically directed to take this class, the fact that the head of the academic compliance program would help them to cheat was obviously well known...Then we could discuss the initial "investigation" which somehow only managed to find 2 football players were involved......until a female swimmer who got busted lawyered up and went to the NCAA....whereupon FSU was suddenly able to find that about 25 football players...

Why would anyone NEED to cheat in a music history class anyway? Isn't this supposed to be an easy class?

For those of you who think this is simply one "rogue tutor" and this is all being overblown, I suggest you read the very insightful (and long) post writtne by "Ken" on 8/22/08 at 7:38 am. Click on the following link: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_colle...

If it looks like, walks like, & smells like a duck, it is most likely a duck. Right now, I believe fsu is a duck... Dead duck that is...

Now you know why FSU was one of the schools pushing for a change to the recruiting rules, making early commitments binding. they wanted recruits locked before having torelease this info.

All you FSU fans better be wearing your mickey mouse ponchos when this NOA and all of the allegations hits the fan, because that mess is going to spray EVERYWHERE. I'm sure your venerable old coach would have a comment or two about the situation, but he's taking a nap right now. In other news, say goodbye to any semblance of a good 2009 recruiting class.
You keep on sitting on the edge of your seat, biting your nails, and hoping and praying that the end is near.

The fact of the matter is that there is nothing to see in the NOA other than a warning from the NCAA along with the proclomation that they didn't find anything else. Kind of like the "widespread gambling ring" that everyone short of the FBI investigated and found nothing but what was originally reported, and that was AM was the only one involved.

Just because FSU isn't genuflecting at the sight of a bald miniature replica of a man and spoon-feeding him the info doesn't mean it can't be found (when are Gator homers going to learn that FSU doesn't answer to you or your henchman?) Other reporters have already reported what is in the NOA. But Mikey's not paid to actually REPORT the news, he's paid to CREATE the news which, in typical fashion, is slanted and full of rumors and inuendo which will be proven wrong at the end of the day.

UF fans need to learn to not take Mikey so seriously. He's been all over FSU like white on rice for the better part of what, 15 years now, and nothing that he has ever alleged has ever come to fruition.

You guys need to resign yourselves to the fact that Mikey's purpose it to entertain and appease you and deflect attention away from the criminal enterprise that is the current UF football team.

That sir is a lie.

That is more lie with some wishful speculation thrown in.
Easy to end the speculation though - release the NOA.

They "cheated" on an open book online class. WHO CARES.
If you want to stop "cheating" then every university in the nation should stop offering online classes because everyone enrolled in them is "cheating" by getting help from friends.
THAT'S WHY YOU TAKE AN ONLINE CLASS.
WRONG - this conduct is a intentional violation of the University Code of Conduct and a violation of professional ethics by the administration, on several levels.

It is time the entire incident was reviewed and appropriate accreditation actions be taken against the institution.

I agree. That's why the Death Penalty is so deserved. It also appears to be the only way to rid the program of the worst violator of N.C.A.A. rules in division 1 history-Bowden!

You mullet wearing Gaytors spouting your jortic crap are just JELLOUS of Florida State and Bobby Bowden and TK Wetherall (you WISH you had a Presedent like him!) and Anthone Smith the fastest back since Marquette Smith and our Chief and everything else Nole. I am PROUD that our school believes in WINNING and we have a LONG PROUD tradition of it. Yeah, we might have gone 7-6 last year and the year before that but THAT DON'T MATTER AT ALL. Because WE ARE FLORIDA STATE! And we dont wear jorts or mullets.

Funny, but I haven't heard ANYTHING yet about any NCAA penalites. I think this is something cooked up by Bianci and #7 to hurt our recruiting because they know that we are just a coupleo f players from GREATENESS. We are going to DOMININTE the ACC this year and get our revenge on Wake Forest and NC State and Virginnia and all of the other GREAT teams that make it so tough to win the ACC the GREATEST conference in college football.

SO go back to your traylors and just ENVY the Noles like you wish you was one of yourself.

GO NOLES

GO BOBBY

GO TK

SCREW THE NCAA you ain't gonna do anything about us because you DON"T DARE TO! HAHAHAHA

<quoted text>At least the U.F. coaching acted promptly and justly or they were fired.Rember Julian Pittman? He broke into this woman's house, locked her into a closet, stole her credit cards,mini-van ,and went to Publix and bought over $400 worth of groceries on her card, was arrested and placed in jail.Bowden somehow got him out of jail in time for the '96 title game. Does Deion Sanders or Ron Sins ring a bell?
Julian didn't break into a woman's house. He went through a open window of one of the girls he had a relationship with. He never saw the girl whom claims she was in the closet cause he didn't go through the house. On the way out of the apartment he took a credit card and went to the gas station got 40 dollars of gas and some Black & Mild cigars. He signed his full name to the credit card receipt which shows no deception. He was with his roommate at the time which was David Tulloch he drove his own Truck never took anyone's car. Might I add the female whom told Julian to come over had a family emergency and left to go back home down south. Julian didn't know he thought she was in her room drunk that's why he entered her already open window. Julian also knocked on the door several times. The roommate said she got scared cause it was so late, she never opened or answered door so Julian had no idea. He also passed the cops on the way out of the apartment stair well and they exchanged greetings.Julian went home cops came over he cooperated and the story was wrote. Might I add the roommates that shared the apartment denied any relationship with Pittman which was very racially motivated. Facts are Pittman had relations with 2 of the 3 roommates. However he did scare the roommate that's why she hid in the closet but he never searched through the assortment he went to the rooms of the females he knew and went in the refrigerator and on his way out grabbed the credit card. The one that was in the house said she didn't want to press charges at first until she was advised by cops to do so. she also said she didn't know Mr. Pittman but was bragging to friends he took them out the night before. she also stated Pittman knocked on the door with the strength that he uses on the football field. I'm not justifying his actions just stating the facts also Pittman was intoxicated. He stayed in Leon County Jail over the weekend and never did any long jail time. He did 23 days of work release get your facts
