Well it was obvious who the better team was that year, Notre Dame, they whipped Florida States ass pretty bad. Florida State ended up with the NC because of sympathy for Bobby "1 loss" Bowden. It was like the heisman going to Tebow as a sophmore, hadn't been done before so they decided to do it or Ingram at Bama winning it, didn't deserve it but Bama didn't ever have a winner of the award so he got it. Just one of those things that wasn't earned, or right but it made someone feel good. Kinda like Obama being President.
