wow the picture clearly shows perez holding the headgear, isnt that illegal? Was a good match but obviously we need better officials at these tournaments. Terrible when you can beat your opponent but you cant beat the ref!

What do you mean we suck, Gomez, Pacheco, Edwards all did great. Oops, they are at PV now. My bad, Aztec West is pretty good with those guys. We will be OK, it was our 1st action, FB kids haven't even got going yet, once we have our full team we will be OK. Give it some time, we will have to be tough and get better to beat West, but we can do it.

Get over the 3 kids leaving! We have heard about how good Aztec WOULD have been, maybe Aztec should not have hired a Shiprock coach if they wanted to build a REAL program.

considering how the aztec team really doesnt have a "coach", these boys get out there and do pretty good. I can only imagine what the team would look like if they had a coaching system in place! For now we can only support these boys and all their efforts!!

The picture also shows the eye gouging that took place by edwards, i thought perez was going to lose an eye for sure. Also the shoulder checking after a pv kid loses a match is that taught in practice??? I dont think that is friendly rivelry that is just POOR SPORTSMANSHIP!! bottom line!!

I agree it was a great match that went back and forth, Edwards did not dominate the first two periods as stated in the paper, for a while there it could have went either way....and ironicly it did.

Well if your looking at the picture he has his eyes wide open, so as far as thinking he would lose an eye lol hardly....they will meet again this weekend, and im sure the outcome will be different. The shoulders have to be on the mat to get the pin, it wasnt that way in this match, it was a bad call on the ref period and he knows it!!

Yep. Some refs were calling pins in only 1 sec! While other pins seemed to take 5 seconds to call! It was inconsistent. The action was very good at this tournament. Looking forward to the PV Invite.
