Ohio State still has not proven to those in college football outside Ohio that it can compete with national-caliber teams. It has not been competitive against top-ranked out of conference teams in years; in fact OSU has lost every top-10 team it played. If, by some miracle Ohio State beats Oregon, it will not have restored its' reputation. That win would be 1 win of a series of needed wins against top-10 teams to begin the process of restoring credibility. For Ohio State's reputation to be restored from the toilet; Bucks need to win at least 4-5 games against top-10 teams. After all, it took 5-6 humiliating defeats, 4 bowl game losses to bring Ohio State's reputation to where it is now nationally. One win against Oregon would not restore that reputation. It would, however, be a step on the long road back to respectability.

Pryor sucked last year as a freshman; he is only so-so this year as a sophomore. When will he finally be the player he was hyped to be? Oregon's Masoli is also a sophomore. So Pryor & Masoli are both sophomores. You watch that Rose Bowl; watch how Masoli operates like he knows exactly what he is doing; & Oregon converts 3rd downs. Then watch Pryor look all confused; perplexed. Pryor will look confused much of the Rose Bowl; exactly like he did on that last OSU drive in the final seconds of the USC game. Just an FYI: in the last 45 seconds of the 2009 USC-Ohio State game; Pryor did nothing; absolutely NOTHING, he did not lead his team for a gain of even 1 lousy yard. With USC ahead, and 45 seconds on the clock; Pryor came out and choked the game away by doing NOTHING.

Buckeye said the last time Florida played a Big-10 team they were beat by Michigan. I checked that. That is a wrong. The last time Florida played a big-10 team was Jan 2007 against Ohio State in the title game. Florida won huge, 55-14

Pryor? Laughable. Tebow is still the man, it's just that Alabama found the kryptonite against superman. And even though Crimson Tide is the new king of SEC; mark my words, they are also the new king of college football. Everyone will know it on Jan 8th. Ohio State couldn't even stay in the game with Alabama or Florida. Last time I checked, OSU was 0-9 vs SEC teams. Now that's history. Ohio State has been punked repeatedly in bowl games. You will probably get punked by Oregon. Florida wins it's bowl games. Florida is winningest division program past 20 years. Enuff said! It took another SEC team to beat Florida. Come talk smack AFTER you beat either Florida or Alabama. Or ANY SEC team. Corn-fed, lazy, fat losers. Just like Alex Boone.
Hey; Gator; go easy. At the moment everyone knows the SEC is really tough and Fla. was prob. a little under prepared. But let's not rag OSU. They are one of just a few teams in the country that has had a long and trusted football tradition. It takes teams like OSU, USC gag, ND, Tex, Ok, Neb etc to help make the SEC look good. The Gators have only been on the stage for awhile from Spurrier getting that program going. The Bear did predict that though. Things shift around, but I do agree that the SEC has been great for a number of years that they were not recognized for. Like every year sence 1920. Now they are getting it. Lets praise tradition teams. This Cincy, Boise and TCU crap is insulting. Let em play 4 tough teams and then let em get ranked. Heck; just keep there players healthy. Anyway; I agree with you on alot of things.

I have a question for you? If the Big-10 conference is so smart academically, then why is GM on the verge of going out of business? this is not the proper place to debate this so i'll just say the b-ten is well represented on any list of the top universities in the world, where as the sec is conspicuously absent.

rah rah rah Buckeyes. You still have not won a bowl game in your last 5 tries. Florida, I bet, will win their bowl game. When Gators have gone to national championshiop game past 11 years, that's 3 times, they've won all 3 times. Ohio State went 3 times, won once, but got humiliated twice. That is nothing to be proud of. Oh, one more thing. Florida lost to #2 ranked team. One game. You Bucks have lost every top 10 team you've played for years now. Years. You have not beaten a top-10 team in, what, 6-7 years? You keep getting punked; and you'll get punked again by Oregon.

If the SEC is so smart academically, how do you explain the jobs drying up in Florida...the Space Center is about to dry up and the whole community is going to go down with it...You can say what you are saying about anywhere in the country right now!!!!

I have to agree with Tom-Nick Saban is a class act. He could have piled on the points, but instead had his quarterback take a knee. I can imagine what Florida would have done-with that classless bunch, Meyer would have had them still going for the endzone.

Stop with the execuses....Alabama took Florida, pulled down their panties and spanked them hard enough to make Tebow cry. Do not deflect your team's inadequacies over the past weekend. The issue is FLA lost the SEC Championship and a shot at the National Championship and the recruiting tide will soon change hands from FLA to Alabama.

This isn't a "Buckeye" site. Fact is this article made our site too because it rags on the Gators in a "we couldn't do it but look who did" manner.

Secondly for the most part it's Buckeye fans that seem to act like douchebags on these forums.

Yes, we lost to Michigan in 2007. And yes, we lost this year's championship. And yes, we lost to Ole Miss in 2008 as well. But we won the championship. And what you'll also notice is that we've NEVER lost to OSU.

I'd also like to point out that while OSU normally plays one major out-of-conference game, UF ALWAYS has one in FSU and usually has a second (last year Miami, next year USF).
