As usual, another hit job on Fairfield University athletics from the CT Post... Why not mention the Sacred Heart Pioneers who had just 800 fans attend their battle for first place of the NEC conference against Robert Morris on campus. You cannot compare Fairfield U. attendance at the arena to other mid-major schools in CT. Fairfield clobbers all other schools.

What the CT POST fails to say is that Fairfield University Basketball draws more fans(2,869 average)to their home games than any Division 1 team in the state except UCONN, over three times as many fans as the other "Fairfield" team Sacred Heart University and almost twice as many fans as Quinnipiac University and they are also the #2 attendance team in their league(MAAC). Student attendance is a problem for all the mid-major teams in the state. Why just single out Fairfield?

because the arena is way too big for any mid major to play in except for maybe gonzaga or memphis.
