What a bunch of ignoramuses, you killed a man's best friend and you expect people to back you up, Sorry but I've known someone who did this and when faced with the possibility of going to jail, well they pulled the trigger on themselves, do the world a favor grow up and be responsible for your own actions instead of hiding behind all these support groups & collisions. The problem with all this no one wants to be responsible for their own actions anymore!

You still don't appear to get it!! THERE HAS NOT BEEN A TRIAL YET IN THE COURT OF LAW. YOU TALK ABOUT AN INDITMENT THAT YOU'VE READ. DOSE IT SAY THAT VICK WAS CAUGHT ON VIDEO AT A DOG FIGHT? THE ANSWER IS AN EMPHATIC NO!!! THAT INDICTMENT IS FULLY RELIED ON "HE SAY SHE SAY HEAR SAY. IT'S LIKE MOST OF YOU GUYS OUT THERE WHO BASE YOUR OPENIONS ON THE SAME NONE VALID NONE FULLY FACTUAL FINDINGS. THE ONLY FACTS THE FEDS HAVE AT THIS POINT IS THAT VICK OWNS THE HOME. EVERYTHING ELSE IS MERE SPECULACTION. WHAT JURY WILL BELIEVE A BUNCH OF CRIMINALS WHO BREAK THE LAW EVERYDAY BY EITHER PARTICIPATING IN OR JUST BEING AT DOG FIGHTS EVERYDAY, AND NOW ARE CAUGHT AND TURNING ON MICHAEL VICK IN ORDER TO SAVE THEIR ASS. FINALLY, THE ONLY CRIME THAT I HAVE AGAINST MICHAEL VICK IS SUPPORTING FAMILY WHO DO NOT MAKE A LIVING FOR THEMSELVES. THIS IS THE THANKS MIKE RECEIVED FROM HIS COUSINS AND SO CALL FRIENDS IN RETURN FOR BECOMMING AN ENABILIER TO THEM. THIS IS WHAT'S REALLY WILL COME OUT IN COURT, AND REMEMBER THAT MICHAEL VICK WILL BE FOUND INOCENT IN THE COURT OF LAW.
RAJ Newport News - Vick owned the dog fighting ring! He bought the empty land, he built the kennels and he built the tall fences to keep his crimes secret. He DID admit to being involved in killing dogs! He knew what he was risking. This arrogant, sadistic man deliberately committed crimes, and his punishment should fit his crimes.

Killing dogs is wrong, I agree. The truth of the matter is that Vick will do 18 months at most. He will not get touched in jail b/c he has enough money to pay for protection. Then he will get out and still be a Millionaire. Now this is the kicker if, the NFL doesnt ban him for life HE will play again. Now with that being said, do you really think dogs are equal to humans? If you do, then buying and selling them is wrong, leaving them caged up in your back yard is wrong, not allowing them to mate with whom they choose to mate with is wrong....etc. Here in America we slaughter them for food (which is ok), we hunt them for sport (which is ok), and we kill them for clothing (which is ok).... Oh yeah all that stuff is ok since its legal. Legality, is the base of most animal lovers argument correct. Incorrect, at the base of most animal lovers argument are a moral issues. You guys are a joke. Go rally behind a real cause, oh yeah that would take real intelligence.

No one has said that dogs are equal to humans.

The issue is torture for pleasure. That's very deeply sick, and it's dangerous.

You know...I've tried to tell these people that it isn't about race. It is about the equal protection of the laws. I don't like dog fighting and I had to accept the sentence, which I didn't like, but we move on.

One thing that I didn't like about Judge Hudson was he insinuated that he let those letters sway him. Public opinion should never rule the law. The law rules public opinion. When the Judge allowed that, it was a sad day for the law.

He did? You sure? I read that he announced that the letters would make no difference, whatever.

I'm reading that four things determined sentence: 1) The evidence, 2) The feds recomendation, vis a vis the plea agreement, 3) Vick's adherance to his plea agreement, and 4) Vick's psychiatric report (which the judge sealed).

I agree his psychiatric report should be sealed. All medical evaluations generally are. In this case it makes Vick look suspect when probably he's depressed like Benoit. Remember he's been beaten up too.

The evidence, yes suggested Vick fought dogs and gambled with them in Interstate Commerce. The evidence also shows us that he did enter a plea. He smoked marijuana and was not truthful on some lie detector tests.

Cool! But the Judge mentioned the letters and released the letters supporting Vick. Kinda makes me wonder. I would have like to know if President Bush wrote a letter saying that Vick should be given the Max would you. We certainly heard about Mayor Franklin. Why not the greats on the other end. Who is the Judge protecting? Anyone?
