The kid seems to be better off academically than you are. You can't even spell. It seems to me that you had no offers at all and are just a little jealous.

Wow, soooooooooo this kid is passing up the opportunity to go to school for free? Did Duke and Temple offer? Has this kid looked at the depth chart? Just because they are losing 8 linemen in two years means nothing I'm sure they have re-cruited 8 guys that are on scholarship now and waiting to step in and take over. To play at the D-1 level you have to have a great work ethic! And not too include everyone there is just as big as you are!! Hey kid remember now you're in York County once you leave you're just another number or another big glob one of 80!

Players at the next level are just as big and faster. You can be 6'9 330lbs or 6'1 280lbs. If you are not quick on the line, you will get burnt every play. Case and point....Dwight Freeney.

Ego! Free Duke/Temple education vs. UConn walk-on. What's your major: STUPIDITY? Should have gone for free EDUCATION...cause you ain't gonna make it in f-ball. Wise up!

My name is Matt Walker and I'm from central PA I also played and graduate from Duke University were I played on the o-line for four year's. I know a little about this kid, and he needs to keep his mouth shut I saw film on him when I was a grad assistant at Duke. And I have a relative is also a linemen going to Maryland on a full ride who went too a combine that this kid was at when the coaches told him to stop doing the drills before he would get hurt or hurt someone.Duke and Temple are world class school that some day will have fine football programs and I do know this not one of them offered him a scholarship if you are that good you should have been offered in the spring or summer or your junior year like the two other kids from your town who are doing well both of them we wanted at Duke now they are in the Big East on scholarship.I also know that you and your parents talked very bad about them. So you are big so what can you play no if so you should have had 30 or more offers from schools you had no div-1-A, 1-AA, Div 2 or 3 and don't say you did I know right now I'm on the staff at Ohio State as a grad assistant. You need to say your sorry to Duke and Temple for putting down there football programs .
Matt Walker, proud Duke Football alumnus and Ohio State Football grad assistant if you are that good to say what you said send us your film.

This is the correct article.

York High's Zielinski hopes to earn scholarship at Connecticut
By DICK VanOLINDA The York Dispatch
Article Last Updated: 02/05/2008 07:24:39 AM EST

Zach Zielinski is a big kid who always believed he could play at the highest level of college football.
The York High senior will take the first step toward his goal this summer when he enrolls at the University of Connecticut.

The 6-9, 330-pound Zielinski will join the Big East team as a walk-on, but he aims to be playing on scholarship before his career comes to a close.

Zielinski had a scholarship offer from Duquesne, and Duke, Villanova, Temple and James Madison all showed interest in him. But he picked Connecticut, whose head coach is Glen Rock native Randy Edsall.

Zielinski Zach Zielinski is a big kid who always believed he could play at the highest level of college football.
"I really liked the coaching staff up there, and, of course, Coach Edsall is from around here," Zielinski said. "They have the best facilities in the country and great academics."
Aims to improve: Zielinski, who plans to major in sports management with a minor in coaching, is looking forward to proving himself against Division I-A competition.
"Definitely, my footwork is something I need to improve to play Division I football," he said. "I've been working a lot on that with John Kerchner (at Unique Physique). When I get to Connecticut, I'll be with the football team, 24-7, doing all the things they do. But the difference is I'll be paying for my education."
Zielinski expects to be an offensive tackle for the Huskies.
He teamed with Jaime Escobar (6-3, 300) to provide York High with two huge offensive guards last fall. Zielinski, Escobar and the other linemen, under the tutelage of
assistant coach John Knowles, helped the Bearcats win their first York-Adams Division I football title in 11 years. Zielinski transferred to York High from York Catholic for his senior year.
Excels in class: An excellent student who's already earned 13 college credits, Zielinski is preparing to move on and become a contributor to a successful Connecticut program.
He'll start out as walk-on, but he doesn't plan to finish that way.
"If I would get a scholarship, that would mean that a lot of hard work paid off," Zielinski said.

Please see my response to your "Non informed" comments. Also, DUKE Football SUCKS and will always SUCK as long as Coach K runs the show. Zach was only thinking of Duke for the academics. The football team blows has always and will continue to do so. Find a positive thing to do with your DUKE Alumni stature and your new position at Ohio State - Whats up with Pryor - thats what I'd be asking. Kiss My A-- Hole - you piece of Sh_t

I looked far and wide across the world wide web and found no matt walker on staff at ohio state. Seems to me we may have a fluke or maybe a jealous fan. Maybe we should just give the kid a chance to see what hes made of. Could you please fill me in on the Duke Camps and other camps he went to, I would like to know more. Congrats on the new Terp.

BTW you shouldn't be worried by some 0 star kid from York, when you have a shot at the number one 100 star player in the world right now.

Why would you spend time extolling Duke Football?
How many Zero win seasons can anyone take?
And ... maybe UConn football IS something special.
