Tood would be a very good fit down at md when they fire Gary williams. He is a winner where ever he coached.

Where are the Greyhounds in this article??? Did they stop playing in Maryland?? They are a better team than the other 3 you wrote about ... just because they play in a better conference and against tougher competition, its harder for them to go to the NCAA's. Poor judgment in leaving them out ...

UMBC and Coppin in the NCAA Tournament, Morgan State in the NIT. What a great year for local college b-ball last season. Here's hoping for continued success for all three teams this season with the hope that Loyola and Towson get in on the act also. Too bad the " Battle Of Baltimore " tournament died, it would be a hot ticket this season.

@des:
Totally agree with you, best of luck to all the local teams. There should be a "Big 6" like Philly has the Big 5 - too bad the AD's and coaches don't have the vision to see it...

@Mark;
Relax. The article is about teams that made the post-season last year and are looking to build on that. Rather than "poor judgment" I think it was just a good focus on one theme that left Loyola out of the article.

@Mark

How is Loyola better than Mount St. Mary's.

As for UMBC, the only skeptics they have are based in Vermont, where the league centers itself around.

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Scorpio

If you're concerned about finding the cash for what usually turns out be an expensive month, the New Moon is the time to start on a budget or some other financial strategy. Try talking to an expert during the coming fortnight, or simply decide to cut down on your expenses. Don't spend so much on presents this year.
