The photo of Geno and Mel with the tear gave us the chills, Reminded me of Tiger woods when he won the Masters and hugged his Dad Earl and had a tear.
Very moving

It's great to hear these tidbits about Geno and the relationships that he has with his players...and the mutual respect they have for one another. I get so sick & tired of reading the negative comments about Geno on this and other blogs. He's a special coach of a special program and CT should be both proud and supportive.

Mike, jealous feelings from non fans always comes out as insults, to the coach and to the school. It festers until the insults become truths to these people. Be glad that you know better. Geno was fighting back the tears during the post game interview. He is a wonderful person and not the 'hack' some would believe him to be. The seniors came to play and play they did. So far this year has been a thrilling roller coaster ride. Let's get it all done and reach the top of the mountain.

We think at times Geno is very arrogant. He sure backs up all he does. He demands perfection and the end result is what is being accomplished.

How fortunate UConn is to have Geno as coach. His ability to develop and motivate his players is legendary and shows a true leader. The work ethic displayed by the team is a direct result of the hard work put in at practice and leads to their success in subsequent games.
