This wasn't easy. And you know what? It's not supposed to be easy. If the road to Tampa was thrown wide open for Tennessee and UConn , what good would that be for women's college basketball? They should have to ...

Very nice. They earned it, no question. And there's no question that the next two games will be a lot more enjoyable than another scrum with the RU goons.

Another terrific analysis Jeff. This game was, indeed, one depicting resilence. How better to describe the total team effort and desire to win than shooting 12 for 12 free throws at the end of the game to seal the deal. All should be very proud of their effort.

Great article and beautiful win! This TEAM is fantastic. Very few women's teams in the NCAA can make statements like a class's ability to get to the Final Four, UConn, as well as Tennessee, Rutgers and all the others that get this far are pictures of what the future of women's BB will be, when more teams can get there. WHT is not posted here yet, but he probably will and he can eat our GRITS!

It's about time we see our women basketball players get a run when they are going for the BIG NCAA Champinonship; it means women have finally begun to arrive or achieve to the level the NCAA men have with their competition.

We are finally seeing better women players across the country instead of in just a few schools.

Get IT DONE!!!

I was so scared in the first half of the game, but I think positive that the huskies can do it the last moment. I'm proud of them after seeing the time last two minute it was over joy's seeing their accomplished. Teamworks is the key to uphill and slide to the satisfaction.

Great games! The Elite Eight teams played defense as well as any women's teams have ever played it.

Now that the hard part is over Husky fans can relax and enjoy the rest of the ride. Rutgers was by far the best team UCONN will face in the tournament, it's just too bad the selection committee isn't smart enough to know that. Rutgers deserves to be in the final four, certainly more than the other three teams that are there.

They are a great team. They have a great coach and they have given us some great basketball. They are young ladies to be proud of not only for their basketball skills but for who they are. They are a credit to the University, the state and all who are fortunate enough to be able to watch their games.

Just like other teams that have had a lead on UConn during this season wether it be by a small margin or like in this case 14 points,Stringer and her Rutgers thugs fell into the same trap. Premature celebration. The New Jersey gansta's got to go home after trying to out muscle and intimidate just as they have to other teams a team that would only bend but not break. Stringer clenched her fist in the first half as if she was saying " We have the game in the bag ". I watched her frustration in the second half as she seemed to be using vulgarity once UConn showed that her team would would not be able to win by mugging the othe team as they have during the regular and post season. Now our girls can compete against teams that play basketball not WWW wrestling.

Congratulations to the team and coaching staff. The gritty performance of Ketia and Charde who would not LET their team lose was especially reat to see. great work UCONN and best of luck in the rest of the tournament.

What's the old adage, "a picture is worth a thousand words" or something similar. The photo of Geno and Mel speaks for what this program is all about; why would the best High School recruits not want to join a program like this? I don't like Rutgers but they played a great game and gave it their all..I agree that they should have been in the Final Four. Vivian developed a great game plan that almost worked-give her credit for that. Rutgers supposedly has one of the top incoming classes, so this rivalry will only grow and flourish in the years ahead.

Congratulations to the UCONN HUSKIES. They have earned the right to be there at the Final Four. No team throughout this tournament has had it tougher than UConn and they more than proved to the nation as to why they belong there. Why they deserve a chance at being the National Champions. Kudos to Candace Parker for coming back into the game and carrying on the way she did. She is truly a great player and she proved it that night. But still, will it be UConn vs. Tenn? Who knows? But I must say this, I believe that it's UConn all the wayyyy!

The NCAA Women's Tournament has been great. And the women have proved once again that they are very exciting as well as talented. The problem that I see here is that the coverage both national and local is lacking. I think the women deserve about as much sport's page as the men do. Seems to me that the women are even more exciting than the men at times. So how about it, let's have more coverage for women's sports!

What a drag. Not the game. I lost power here in Newtown and didn't see the second half. Finally at 2AM, the power cameon and I saw the results on the trusty computer.I was certain it would be a victory, that the women had done it. What a group. I'm so proud of them.

Can't wait 'til the Final Four.

PS: Anyone have a tape of this game they can copy and send to me. I'll pay for whatever costs are involved. I want to see it all and especially the celebration after the 00.0 time left.
