"Eddie" George is 7'7"? Wow, he didn't look that big playing running back for the Titans. You might want to familiarize yourself with the UNCA roster before writing a story.

Yeah, that is a pretty big slip. I'm glad to see us get through the South Carolina road swing. We are now set up for an epic game against Winthrop on Saturday.

Last night's game was not pretty at all! We looked tired and sloppy. We made baskets when we needed them though. UNCA looks more and more like a championship team wit each game. This year's team is different then the last 4 years in many ways but the one that stands out the most is the fact that we KNOW how to close out a game. This has been a major weakness in the past. As much as the ETSU game hurt this year (and trust me, it hurts ALOT) I think we took alot from that game. Saturday's atmosphere is going to be AMAZING! You won't want to miss it.

The Coastal announcers called him "Eddie George" a few times during the game as well.

Last night's game was definitely ugly. That is a really tough place to play though, especially after just having played a game on Saturday night. I'll take a win on the road in any way possible though.

It's amazing what having two senior guards can do for a team down the stretch in close games. Remember the last time we went to the dance? We had two senior guards in Andre Smith and Alex Kragel.

I am really looking forward to the game on Saturday.

NC were u at UNCA at that time. Those two guys were special. Esp when Kragel hit the three against Winthrop.

I was there. It was my Freshman year. It was amazing but we def. didn't have the following we have this year. I heard rumors of a couple of the kids "camping" out before saturday's game just for fun! gotta love it! Basketball is finally catching on at UNCA because it sure wasn't when I was at school there.

It was my freshman year as well. I'm sure I know some of you guys. And I remember the Kragel shot against Winthrop all too well.

The fans didn't really start to pick up until after we won the tournament in 2003. We had a solid crowd in Dayton for the play-in game and then a good number of people down in Birmingham for the Texas game.

We had a good team our freshman year, but we just didn't have an attraction like Kenny George. I think people initially started to come out just to see him play and then realized that the games were a lot of fun and that both Kenny and the team were actually really good.

As the Coastal Carolina announcer said last night...

"Call him a giant. Call him a circus act. Call him whatever you want. Kenny George is a PLAYER folks."

Maybe we should trade places with WCU in the Southern Conference.

Why bother, unca is going to be rebuilding and be awful next year. It's amazing how many people jump on the bandwagon in a good year. Just remember to wait til March before you start booking hotel rooms and air line tickets. But make sure you stick around and support this program next year.

Winthrop is gaining steam...still lots of hoops to go.

Next year we will be rebuilding, but so will most of the Big South.

Winthrop is losing its starting backcourt and Taj McCullough plus Reggie Williams, Arizona Reid and Jack Leasure will all be gone.

The only teams really returning all or most of their talent are Charleston Southern and Radford.

If Kenny comes back and continues to improve, we have to be considered one of the top teams in the Big South, if not the favorite.

We also get back Donovan Jones, a really athletic guard sitting out this year due to injury who showed a lot of promise last year as a freshman. And we have supposedly the best incoming class of freshmen that Coach B has ever had.

Donovan Jones, Sean Smith, Reid Augst, Kenny George, John Williams and Rashad Gill (exciting freshman guard that hasn't played much this year due to Smithson and Garland playing 39 mins a game) form a strong nucleus to go along with the freshmen.

We won't be as good as we are this year, but next year we should still be pretty solid. If Kenny improves as much from his junior to senior year as he did from his sophomore to junior year, he alone should be enough for the Bulldogs to dominate the Big South.

That has to be one of the most uneducated responses I have ever read in these forums. I think you should read what you write before you hit the "Post Comment" button. Your comments don't make any sense.
Also, people (fans) "jump on the bandwagon" when a team wins because thats what fans do! In the history of sports, if a team isn't doing well, the fans aren't strong, but when it's a successful season, the fans pack the seats. This happens in all college athletics, not just at UNCA.
You obviously are a Winthrop student or have some major issues with UNCA athletes. Sad.

George is at least 7,7" (more likely even 7,8" barefoot) and a definite 7,9" in his CUSTOM MADE SIZE 25 SHOES! He also weighs in a whopping 360 lbs and has a frigging 8,5" wingspan! He can virtually dunk standing flatfooted! I never seen anything like him before! What a monster!
