My take...

I would be impressed if Butler got through a few Big Ten (even northwestern) or ACC teams to get to the tournament. These are teams butler should EASILY beat, if you believe the rankings. I realize that's not Butler's fault and can't happen, but talk about a cakewalk, fellas.

And seeing the problems Butler has with these no-name schools (no spin, please. It is what it is), I can only come to one conclusion.

Honestly, I do wish Butler well. However, overrated teams just bug the sh* t out of me. And there's no question in my mind here.

Should I be proven wrong, which is not likely, and Butler is the last Indiana team in the tournament, you can bet your a$$ they will have my support. I love to see a group of white guys play smartly and overcome their complete lack of athletic ability.

Tia you obviously haven't been to many Butler games this year because there were around 2000 students against Ohio St. and Drake. I thought it was a pretty enjoyable game to watch actually, especially the way Mike Green put on a clinic. I'll also enjoy watching him in the NBA next year too.
And what you said about ticket prices is totally FALSE... Butler averaged over 6,000 per game this year which is MORE than last season. An increase in attendance and revenue yet people like you still want to b itch about it. You're from Carmel don't tell me you can't fork over an extra 5 bucks to come to Hinkle.
All year Butler fans have commented that Butler's small enrollment doesn't yield that many students at the games and that is why attendance is not comparable to other schools. You can't have it both ways. A top ranked team for the entire season should draw way more than Butler did this year. They are going to have to upgrade Hinkle if they want to charge the high ticket prices.

You shouldn't be so judgmental in such a stereotypical way. But then again you are a Ron Paul supporter so it all makes total sense.

Ha. Suddenly I feel aligned with cru because he hates ron paul...agreed, hates hillary...agreed, and I think hates Barack...agreed. Man, you're not so bad after all.

But back to Butler, I think we are looking at a 4-5 seed, which would be terrible. If we blow CSU out tuesday and there are some upsets this coming week...maybe a 3. A 4/5 would put us against either UNC, Memphis, Tennessee, UCLA, Kansas in the sweet 16 if we can get there, with out talent I can't see why we couldn't. I don't think we match up well with UCLA, Kansas, or UNC. Tennessee and Memphis do not scare me as much. The last two times we have made runs in the tourney, we have had the unfortunate luck of running into #1 seed buzzsaws. Oklahoma wasn't that great in '03...but Florida, that just wasn't fair. They way we played in that game, we would have beaten most other teams left in that tourney. Probably best game I have ever seen butler play. But they were just that good. Let's all hope for a not so tough matchup this year. This group has the talent to get some things done.

Why do Butler Fans think basketball is linear? Butler must be worse than Bradley; after all Bradley beat Drake. Right?

And, IU lost to Penn State today. Michigan State lost to OSU. Geez.
