Wow. The Terps su**, and do not deserve to go to the NCAA tournament. Clearly, the UNC win was a fluke. Gist, like Steve Francis, is more concerned about the NBA. Vasquez is an undisciplined hack. Gary Williams only wins when his players feel like maturing on their own, because he is unable to promote the maturation of his players.

Second worse loss under Gary Williams. Only the up 10 with a minute to play loss to Duke is worse.

Ball handling was terrible, they stopped running and played scared after handling Clemson all night. A couple of really long three's, and game over. Welcome to the NIT, Terps!!

What a disaster of an ending to the game for the Terps. How the hell could they let such a huge lead slip away? That was the Terps tourney hopes fading away almost completely, what a colossal choke. They'd have to beat Virginia and probably win the ACC Tournament to get in now. Fat chance of that happening.

Nothing needs to be said. If this doesn't convince Debbie Yow that GW has no control of his team and is old and tired, then she is blind. Absolutely unbelievable!

yes, we stunk. but did the officiating look as bad from close up (if you were there) or on HDTV as it did from high in the stands where I sat?

Actually the Final Four loss to Duke when they were up by 22 (same season incidentally) was clearly the most miserable.

The loss tonight was definitely up there though.

If anyone thinks Williams shouldn't pass the baton, then just look at the last five seasons.

This game was a perfect example of an undisciplined team that has not had the benefit of any leadership at the coaching level.

Just look at the three seniors on this team? I cannot recall in the last 12 or 13 years a more unimpressive list of senior players.

Hello? Recruiting.

Tonight was an absolute disgrace and barring a championship in the ACC tournament, the NCAA Selection Committee should not even give this team any consideration.

Shameful display tonight, pitiful. Based on the football season and the train-wreck basketball season, I can guarantee that my donations will be considerably less in the upcoming year.

taking a breather after the loss.... thinking about it some... this loss can be a REAL good thing or a REAL Bad thing.... the worst part of this loss is that us terps fans have to sit and wait to watch how this team will respond until next sunday

Aside from "Gone in 60 seconds" againt Duke, I can't recall a more devastating collapse in my 30+ years of following the Terps.(The NCAA loss to Duke was bogus officiating acknowledged on a national level, to keep the favored Dukies in the tournament.) This game was pure choke from the coach to the players. WHAT were O'Neal and the no-name senior getting so many minutes for? Why did Bowie come out of the game as hot as he was? They had no answer for his penetration in the lane.He nneds to stay on the floor. He's the only guy we have that can soften up the defense. I predice Bowie replaces Hayes and Hayes leaves for another school. WHY did Hayes stay in the game? He's bringing nothing to the game anymore if his open set shot isn't falling. He's lost and intimidated. He can't dribble through any pressure and he no longer attempts to create a shot. When will Vasquez stop matching his assists to turnovers?

Unbelievable, yet you coud see the outcome shaping up with 8 or 9 minutes left in the game. GW treated the game like it was in hand by playing scrubs too liberally and the team laid down and waited for the clock to run out.

Ah yes- the usual Terp fan junk about the refs. Terps have never been beaten! They only lose to the refs. That ref stuff is sooooooo old, tired, inaccurate, and lame. So the refs cost you 23 points? P{lease be a grown up.

Ahhh again- the REFS the Stinkin' refs did a 22 point job on the Terps. Duke raises all the money to buy off the refs. And now Clemson too! You guys are pitiful. The idea that the refs beat down the poor old Terps is just exhausting. Pitiful, just pitiful.

Don't forget the loss in the final four to Duke, being up 22. Funny how this follows Gary around.
