Our hearts go out to this family at this time of stress. We know what they are going through also. I, too, have Cancer & it's in my liver too. However, it has not shown up anywhere else since it was found in 1998. It's a very rare kind of cancer called Carcoinoid Syndrome. It takes alot of my energy & I had to retire medically in 2000 and can not work anywhere because I do not have the energy to put in an 8-hr day. I get very tired really easy & must sleep & get rest quite a bit too. But thanks to a shot of Sandostati each month, my side-effects of diarrhea & hot-flushes are kept on hold. However, the 'noids' in my liver have gotten a little worse in the past 6-mo, but nothing at this time can be done to get rid of them because the cancer is in all my liver. There was talk about surgery last month, but I had been told from the very beginning that surgery, chemo or radiation would not help - it would make things much worse. My Oncologist found this out again, too. However, all my monthly blood tests have shown that my liver is still functoning very good and my general health is good. I, too, am a Christian and my trust has been & will be in the Lord; that He will take care of me and my family & friends during this just like he has all my life since I was a teen. God is in Charge of everything anyway, and we have to put our Trust in Him that things will & does work our for His best in our lives.Even if I should die soon too, I know I will see most of my family & friends in a much better place called Heaven where there is no Cancer, no suffering, and we will be together with the Lord Jesus Christ. I use my situation to give the Lord all the honor and praise for getting me as far as I have gone in the past 10-yrs. When people see me, they can't believe that "anything" is wrong with me because it doesn't "show" in my appearance. And I try to encourage everyone else, no matter what they're going through, to put their Faith & Trust in the Lord & He will help them too. If you have every accepted Christ as your Personal Saviour, you will know "His Peace" in whatever situation you find yourself in. We know it is hard to say "Goodby" to our Loved ones here on Earth especially when they have bad health problems, but We do Know We Will See Then Again & they'll be in much better shape. Keep yourselves very Close to the Lord during this time & He will Keep you in His Loving Care for Always. God Bless all of you.
