Giving credit where credit is due. Not many writers will give the non-starters or non-stars their just due credit. With Thompson and Stepheson getting the hard fought rebounds, Carolina would not be #1. Without Green coming in and hitting his sudden 3-pointers, Carolina would not be #1. Without Thomas coming in and taking Lawson place while he was injured, Carolina would not be #1. With Ginyard being the defensive stopper, Carolina would not be #1. It takes more than just the staring 5 players on the basketball team to become champions. That's why I feel the North Carolina is the team to beat. Its not about one person, its a team effort. Hansbrough, Ellington, and Lawson may get the credit, but they won't get their shoots if the role players don't do their jobs. Remember, there is no "i" in "team".

While I agree w/ the selection committee with their #1 overall seed to UNC, they will not have as easy as a path to the Final 4 as Kansas and UCLA have in their regions, where the #2 seeds (Georgetown & Duke) have been already been eliminated.
