Actually, UC's schedule in the next few years is as good or better than OSU's. UC plays Oklahoma and Virginia Tech next year, along with NC State. Future schedules include Tennessee, Miami(FL) and Air Force (comparable to Navy). Maybe you haven't noticed, but playing at WVU every other year is no picnic.
According to the UC website, UC doesn't play Va Tech next year. And the Miami on UC's schedule is Miami OH. And I see no confirmation of Air Force.

From UC's website:
2010
vs. Miami (OH)
vs. Oklahoma (Paul Brown Stadium)
at N.C. State
at Fresno State

2011
vs. Albany
at Tennessee
vs. Akron
vs. N.C. State
at Miami (OH)

2012
vs. Virginia Tech
at Ohio State

2013
at Illinois

2014
at Ohio State

Not bad, just not as good as what OSU has scheduled.

It's comical that some OSU fans choose to bash UC when their beloved head coach ran scared from playing UC in Cincinnati.
Why is it that old sweater vest backed out of playing UC at PBS in Cincy...if UC is so inferior that is? I mean, sweater vest is willing to play "inferior" MAC schools outside of Columbus. So why not play the "inferior" Bearcats away from the friendly confines of the horseshoe.
You nutlovers just don't get it.....the Big Ten is not an elite conference, your boys need to upgrade their out of conference schedule, and actually play some road games, or they will continue to get pasted come bowl time.
OSU played Cincy at PBS in 2002. The Buckeyes won but the Bearcats gave OSU all they could handle that day.
As for OSU scheduling tough OOC games, the Bucks play Miami home and away the next 2 years. Isn't this the team that
beat Oklahoma earlier this year? Is this the same Oklahoma team that UC played this year and will play again next year?
Doesn't Oklahoma have a worse BCS bowl game record than OSU? Oklahoma has lost 3 BCS NC games compared to 2 BCS
NC game losses for OSU. Oklahoma lost to USC by more than 30 points while Ohio State lost by 27 to Florida. Oklahoma
has a losing BCS bowl game record while Ohio State has a winning record in BCS bowl games despite losing the last 3.
As for UC football, I think the recent success of the Bearcats is great for the school and very good for college football
in general. It also shows just how good Ohio high school football players are because UC has always had to compete with
the Big Ten schools as well as Notre Dame for the top talent in the state usually getting mostly the best of the rest and still
maintaining a very competitive team and continuing to get better the last few years.

Actually UC has beaten OSU twice. Once in 1896 and then again in 1897. Maybe you should do a fact check before you go around calling people idiots. To add, It's really disgraceful that you are a UC Grad and would make such a statement without thoroughly checking your facts. And to all you Bucks fans. I don't think firing Tressel is a great idea. He won you a championship and has won multiple BCS Bowl games, what more do you want?? Good luck Buckeyes and see you in 2013.. bump bump bump bump UC!
If you're hanging your hat on the 1800's, be thankful it has only taken a little over a 100 years to learn to play football in Cincinnati! Just found the years your talking about, OSU had 1 win in 1897 against Ohio Medical, sounds like a tough team! 1-7-1 in 1897 and 5-5-1 in 1896. A new coach each of those years. Cinci had winning records both those years including a 9-1-1 record in 1897. Be proud idiot!

Ohio State should play Cincy home and home each year. Then all the discussion would be settled on the field. No more spectulation. When Ohio State cancels the 2012 game in Cincy it sends the wrong message to fans of college football. It would have been better to play the game and win. No one at the school can give a good reason for the cancellation. But people speculate that it was fear of losing. I know I know that is not true but you have to admit it sure opens the door to think that way.
Actually Dan it was a revenue decision, both Cinci and OSU banking in on the decision!

He won 11 games with five quarterbacks last year. This year, the erstwhile fourth-stringer, Tony Pike, is a Heisman Trophy candidate. And OSU is stuck with Pryor and no chance of giving anyone else at least a game day try. I'm sick of hearing about how Pryor is "only a sophomore" and we need to give him a chance. Seems like when he replaced Beckman last year, he was "all Mr. Everything and as a Freshman. With lackluster Purdue up next, if Pryor falters, send in the "reserves." Maybe it will "jolt" some reality into Pryor.
Unfortunately for OSU, with how Tressel and Bowman run an offense, we need a scrambling QB, it would certainly be a bonus if he could throw and wasn't afraid of taking a hit, but a pocket QB with no scrambling ability would get killed as has been proven over and over again since JT's arrival. Our blocking schemes are aweful, we rotate too many players on and off the line never allowing them to get in sync with eachother, we run terrible routes, not because of lack of talented receivers as proven by the NFL, but because of terrible route development and schemes developed by the coaching. OSU is predictable on offense and JT needs to give up OC responsibility completely!

I would like to see Pryor as a wide out again, 6-6, 240 lbs with 4.4 speed he would be Mr. Everything.

Grate article sir, Thanks for giving credit where credit is due.A Great coach that knows talent and potential to produce a very good team in such a short time. Others will wait until the season is over and say that Cincinnati was lucky, even if they win a major bowl game. An OSU fan from birth, I hope I don't have to witness a bowl game with Cincinnati this year. I keep a bottle in the closet for such occasions, not to celebrate but to help me get over the outcome. Thanks again.
