Yes Michael, the Bearcats would pass through OSU's defense with all their offensive trickery and wrinkles. Its just not fair that they have to play in that Pit. Actually I don't know anything about their stadium except being on a tour of the university with my son last year, and it looked very nice. Is it really that old?

It's the BIG EAST for crying-out-loud. There's maybe 2-3 teams that can jump up an bite someone every once in a while. They are good, but there are 20 teams in the top 25 that could and probably would beat them. Take a look at the BIG EAST. W. Va., Pitt, Rutgers, South, Fla.? Give me a break.

I watch the Buckeyes out of 30 years of loyalty and the Bearcats for excitement and enjoyment. There is a vast difference between the 1990's Tresselball and the 21st century offense of Cincinnati. Oh how I wish we could get Kelly.

I don't think anyone in the Big Ten should cast stones at other leagues.

Michael, you've hit the nail on the head! Brian Kelley is a winner. They, Cincinnati, deserve all the kudos they receive this year because of Kelley. I, too, wish he could be in Columbus and on the sidelines for the Buckeyes. Kelley knows how to develop talent. He puts people in their rightful positions. He, Kelley, does not try to make a "silk purse out of a sow's ear, as does Tressel with Terrell Pryor! Pryor belongs at wide receiver, not QB!

So let me get this straight. UC is having ONE pretty good season and you are wanting to dump JT for their coach. He does seem to be doing a good job with what he has there, which is somebody else's reqruite's. If some of you fans have all the answers then send a resume to tOSU and apply for the job as head coach. They are WINNING and only have a loss to the #3 ranked team in the country (at that time) and only by 3 points. What is it you people want? SO the offense has sputtered, SO WHAT! I swear unless they are winning every game by 50 points or better people want to bitch and whine. I guess they could be like Fla and schedule teams they could run the score up on, you know like La. school of the blind, or Rosetta Stone College. This buckeye team is very young and is going to need time to come together as a whole. I'm not saying TP is the best there is, but everything is not just his fault. There have been numerous route problems with the receivers among other things. Give them some time and give it a rest people. In the end it's just a game and these are student athletes. If some of you don't like the way they are playing then there are many other team choices to become a fan of. I believe UC has an opening.

From the QC: Yes the Bearcats & Kelly deserve props for their recent run. However the fact remains that the defining event for this program is simply moving from Conference USA to the Big East and the implied recognition that involves. They have yet to score a marquee victory of any note. True, the Buckeyes are short of signature victories as of late and the Big East/Big 10 debate is moot, but I don't see this as a referendum of the two programs as much as love for the "flavor of the month". Time will tell.

When Kelley wins a few Big East titles, a bcs title, a few BCS bowl games, and has some of his players win the Heisman Trophy, Jim Thorpe Award, etc., I might consider him to enter the Shoe to replace Tressel. Until then he still has a lot to prove.

Totally agree buck-i-nut. Amazing how 10+ wins for Jim Tressel and big ten championships the last 4 years aren't good enough for some people. Every OSU win gets picked apart for what they didn't do right. But back to the topic at hand, Brian Kelly is a good coach and he's doing good things at UC. But enough with the calling for Tressel's head. If he had a 7-6 season then let's talk.

to the nut who said there have been numerous route problems by the receivers. How long does it take to learn this - go 10 yards down the field and curl or go 10 yards down the field and then turn out sharply to the sidelines. And please don't talk to me about a wide-out and the quarterback reading the cornerback the same way. Maybe you should recruit wide-outs with more brains and less speed - ya think!!!!!!!!!!

Did Tressel have those accolades when he was hired by tOSU? 3 years of top 25 teams (and improving every year) is not a flash in the pan coaching job. I would say Kelly is much more qualified to take the tOSU coaching job now than Tressel was when he took the job...

So it's that easy huh? Have you ever played the game? If it was that easy then every team would score on every play. Some of you people wouldn't know football if it hit you in the vagina. Your name says it all cowboy.

UC went to Oregon State and beat them soundly. UC beat West Virginia last year.

This is the second solid year in a row from UC.

Winning 10 games per year against the currently weak Big 10 Conference is no better than UC racking up wins against the Big East.

There are obvious flaws with the Buckeye offense that if not corrected will result in another bowl game loss.

Sorry folks, Brian Kelly is not going to OSU. Tressel is not going to get replaced because the offense doesn't look so good when they win. If anything Kelly will be up for the Notre Dame job after the Irish crash and burn this season and Charlie Weis gets fired.

All I can say is that the Buckeyes put me to sleep. I see Jim Tressel and I want to slap him until he cries. He's such a boring dolt and his refusal to hire dynamic assistant coaches proves that his ego is out of control. He doesn't seem to understand that he is consistently out-coached but sneaks away with wins because he usually has more talent. Kelly is doing more with less. He is overachieving in Cincy, while his counterpart in Columbus continues to squander brilliant recruiting classes on his conservative style.

UC is fun to watch. I hope they run the table and get a shot at the BCS title. Ohio State blew it when they peed down their legs against USC, so I'm pulling for the better team down the road. I do feel that UC is the better team right now.

Brian Kelly will have a long time waiting for the ND job. Mark "Bo" Pelini, former OSU Captain, will be the next coach at ND.

Kelly hands would be tied at ND. He could no longer recruit kids that didn't qualify at other schools. We had Cincinnati on our schedule and the media thore our program apart for playing weak sisters. The BCS can't have it both ways.

Mr Arace, you are in Columbus. Quit ripping Coach Tress. He will match his record against any coach in the country. He doesn't have to apologize for taking the Bucks to three BCS Championship games in the last seven years. Get the facts or get a new job in Ann Arbor.

Gosh! The Columbus Dispatch had the adicity to have a sportswriter actually tell it how it is. That there is a better coach in Ohio than PEE WEE TRESSELL (get rid of the sweater vest and that un-fashionable tie). OSU has the best football facilities in the country. OSU spends more money on their football team than any other program. The only things you don't have to offer Buckeye football players are: good year round weather, a multi-cultural city atmosphere and good coaching, So, please keep PEE WEE TRESSEL. As long as he is your head coach us GATOR fans never have to worry about OSU being competive against us or any SEC teams in BCS bowl games. GO GATORS
