You're the QB of the football team and trying to get into a bar with a fake ID?!? Something is wrong here. IF they won't let you in, walk across the street..tell the bouncer of THAT bar who you are (and you'd forgotten your ID) and you'll be served asap.

Send his butt to jail. He's looking for special treatment. Make him an example.

An 18 year old is allowed to go to war but not have a beer. Change the law. How many lawyers and judges use illegal drugs?

Sure, kick him off the team. Better yet, send him to Iraq or Afghanistan to get shot at, like so many other 18-20 year old men who can't even have a freakin' beer in the US. You know, because beer isn't good for them, unlike steppin' on an IED and gettin' their damn leg blown off...

Miserable bunch of hypocrites...

remember leopold & loeb - they thought they too were above the law or at the very least smarter than the law. However my cooler head has prevailed - as long as the bearcats remain unbeaten give this young man whatever he wants and put it on my tab. viva la france

Why is he even in court? Confiscate the ID, fine him $50 and move on. A 20 year-old with a fake ID is not a threat to public safety. It serves no purpose to drag this out. It doesn't even diminish my respect for him. Who doesn't try to sneak into bars at that age?

I think this judge should be in a diversion program. Stick him in one with Amy Salerno, who abused her position as a judge to lecture Antonio Henton when he entered a plea for his solicitation charge. Judges are like Major League Umpires. They get a minor celebrity in front of them and they get drunk on their own power.

I love the editing. "has to complete the pogram." Um, that would be a mob attack against the Jews by the Russians. Interesting sentence for underage drinking considering how often alcohol contributes to mob mentality.

Who cares. He was 20. I didnt know a single person in college who didn't have a beer every now and then....Getting an underage at age 20 is like getting a speeding ticket for going 57 in a 55..stupid.

Typical rich athlete who expects special treatment. He needs to go to jail for a long time. Make an example of his dumb butt. You don't hear about his from the poorer kids on the team.

This is stupid. I agree that the drinking age should be lowered to 18 (like it used to be, but was raised so the state could get more government funding for roads if I recall correctly). If you're old enough to vote, old enough to die for your country, you should be old enough to drink a beer.

Give me break the kid is busier than hell with college classes and football. These judge's are power goe freak's! Ya right like the kid is running from the law. This is not your typical teen age kid that sleep's in all day with no goal's. When will this country get respectful judge's with common sense and throw the ego power trip judge's out of the court room.

Old enough to vote and die for your country but not to drink.
Sorry but that has got to change. No one should be allowed to vote, drink or drive or have sex until they reach 21in Ohio. Only in New Jersey.

Although he was stupid and obviously young for trying this, he should not be kicked off the team. Fine him and do the community service or whatever is associated with the crime minus the jail time. I hope he exhibits better leadership from here on out now that he is vital cog of the Bearcat machine. He is no longer the 2nd or 3rd string QB that he was in the Spring, he is now the starting QB of the 5th ranked team in the nation. he also has a chance to start for the next 2 years.
I hope this is not going to be a distraction for UC. They must beat Pitt to atleast be assured of winning the Big East and playing in a BCS (Orange). I think Illinois could beat them, which would end their nation title hopes. So with that said, Pitt is the bigger game.

Its high time to reduce the drinking age. It has had no real effect on reducing binge drinking or deaths.

Who here didn't do some sort of drinking underage. I admit I did. Got into a bar showing my real Id at age 20 and for some reason they stamped me being of legal drinking age. Had to take advantage of that.

He tried what so many other people have tried and got caught. Stupid but it should not be the end of the world for him. People make mistakes. I have and so has everybody that has posted here. No he does not deserve a break because he is on the football team. But he shouldn't be made an example of either because he is on the football team.

RICH KID? Collaros is not exactly a product of Beverly Hills. I believe he is from a small, steel town/mining community in Eastern Ohio. Town only has pop. of 25,000 or less. Get your facts straight before showing the world your ignorance. Ever hear the saying: You can keep your mouth shut and let people wonder or you can open it and remove ALL doubt. That fits you, my friend. Sorry see your IQ is below 75.
